Chapter 1
Previous chapter
I’m in the main briefing room, 17 agents and 6 officers going through what we know about Marie and those who have turned on us. Nothing is concrete yet, other than there are only 4 traitors - 2 pilots, 1 agent and 1 engineer. Their families have all been brought in for questioning and are going through rigorous... interrogation. They will be heavily compensated - and drugged to forget the entire ordeal - once they have given us all they can.
So far we know very little about Marie: she knew about Berlin and that I was there and she may know about other missions that I’ve been on. If she wasn’t in Berlin, then the people she works for, were. They could have been the reason why Swiss secret service were involved, or the reason they all died, or both. Every agent is asking the right questions, sending us down rabbit hole after rabbit hole to find out more but we’re coming up empty each time.
This is the first time in agency history that we’ve had traitors within the ranks, and it’s the first time we’ve had an enemy one step ahead of us. The top brass don’t know what to do, and because of that we’re making very little headway.
The main worry is if Marie decides to go public with the information she knows. War would inevitably break out and all agency staff would need to go into hiding. That would be the easy part, staying hidden for the rest of our lives would be the difficult part.
Through the noise of everyone talking I have an idea, “What if we do know her?” I get many confused looks but the room goes silent, “She knows who I am, and she knows about Berlin. So why not cross reference every mission I’ve been on that has changed peoples lives - through killing them or having them arrested, or even just changing their business prospects - and work backwards from there.”
The officers give each agent a mission file and tell them to follow the lead. I’m too close to the investigation so I can’t get too involved until we know who we’re up against. I hate having to sit on the side lines but I follow my orders; I am to wait for contact from Marie, or await my target details, whichever comes first.
She knew I was reading a book in Berlin, she knew what it was so much so that she managed to build an entire life around the characters from it. I didn’t mention the book in my report - why would I? - so I don’t know how she could have found that out.
Every agent is in hyper focus mode. Their hands flying across the keyboards of their laptops, screens flashing with information as they open file after file, search after search in the hopes of finding that one piece of information that gives us something to go off.
I think back to every mission, remembering the face of every target, the details of each person involved with any mission, anyone who could hold a grudge, this isn’t a small list. The files and faces of everyone I have seen or researched for every mission flashing in my mind.
I’m efficient, I plan ahead, sometimes even weeks in advance! If I have to break into a facility I will record CCTV footage and overlay it so I don’t have to think about camera angles - although I still do avoid cameras just in case. I intercept comms so that I know exactly what is said during reports and when, so that nobody thinks there’s any differences during the break in. By the time anyone knows what has happened I’m long gone with little to no trace of my being there.
There’s a reason I’ve flown through the ranks so fast; I’m good at what I do. Every target I’ve killed has been clean, no witnesses. The security guards aren’t killed, they’re normally drugged so they will stay out of my way or just avoided altogether - if they’re not on my list I have no reason to hurt them.
If Marie is linked to any of my missions then she has to be a friend or family member of a target, otherwise it doesn’t make any sense! You don’t try to infiltrate the agency of all places because your security guard dad was fired for sleeping on the job.
My mobile begins to ring pulling me out of my thoughts plunging the room into silence. I connect it to the tracer before I answer. “Hello,” Marie chirps, she sounds very happy with herself, “I’m sure you have me on speaker to the entire main briefing room trying your damnedest to work out who I am and why I’m here!”
I can play games too, “Not the main briefing room actually, we’re not taking you all that seriously. You’re not much of a threat” I hear her give a frustrated exhale. Good, I’m getting under her skin, “Why don’t you save our interns some effort and just tell us who you actually are, or even better, why don’t you let us pick you up?”
I hear a muffled voice in the background, I can’t make out what they say. There is a brief pause as if Marie is thinking about what she was told. She breaks the silence with a threatening tone, “Every country in the world will be given the details of all missions done by the agency in the 10 years. Every murder, every act of war, the information you’ve stolen, all brought to light.”
“Why would you do that Marie, surely you don’t want a war to break out” I get a small laugh from her. I can’t tell if she’s just insane or if there’s something I’m missing. The technician raises 2 fingers; I have to keep her on for 2 more minutes and we’ll have a location.
Another agent spins their laptop to face me, it has Marie’s picture and a full file about her! I skim through it before speaking again, “I want to know one thing: how did you know about the book” I ask. I don’t want to show my cards just yet while I stall for time.
She scoffs, “It wasn’t that hard. After you checked out of a hotel the agency sends in cleaners and has to report everything they cleaned. You may not have included the book in your report but they did.” I look to the officers, who nod confirmation that what she said is true. It makes sense, but I never had to think about it. We are trained to clean everything before we leave, but sometimes we may be in a hurry or we could miss something, so having a dedicated crew takes the onus off us is just extra security.
Marie continues, “Obviously I put two and two together. You read the book - they had to clear your finger-prints off all the pages - and you were the only agent in Berlin that night. Agents have remarkable memories when pushed, so I knew that taking this name would trigger something, but only if you had reason to think about it.”
I get the nod from the technician, we have a location. They begin pulling resources, no doubt sending any available agents to the location, maybe getting details of the buildings ownership to follow up on any leads. The technician’s face turns pale, anger turning into fear and she glances up at me. I frown in confusion.
“I knew that you wouldn’t think much of my name until I gave you reason to. All I needed to do was make sure that your memory wasn’t triggered until I was ready, and I am ready for you now” my heart sinks, Marie sounds like she’s holding an ace up her sleeve, that tied with the way the technician is looking at me doesn’t fill me with hope.
I spin the screen around and see why the technician is so afraid. That’s my parents house. Marie is in my family home. My breath catches in my throat. They know nothing, I’ve told them I build and maintain servers around the world for large businesses, they don’t know I’m a spy!
Marie giggles down the phone, “I guess you’ve already seen where it is that I am? Don’t worry, they’re safe, for now. I just want you to know what it feels-” I cut her off.
“Your real name is Anja Hofstetter, you’re the daughter of the Swiss politician I was sent to kill in Berlin. I didn’t kill your dad Anja, someone else got to him before I could” I blurt out. There is silence on the line. “Anja! Why would I lie to you? You’d easily be able to prove me wrong. I called control because Swiss secret service has pulled your dad out of his hotel room.”
I hear typing from her side. She’s checking my story, probably opening her backdoor into the agency to look up control’s transcripts. I hear the voice again, muffled but it sounds angry. “Shut up” Anja spits at the voice. The voice raises, I can barely make it out, “...lying to you… I was there… don’t listen…” but Anja spits back again, her Swiss accent coming through as her anger gets the better of her. Her facade is faltering now.
I hear a frustrated scream before the line disconnects. I think it was Anja, I hope it was Anja. A feed is pulled up on the large TV in the room, agents are already pulling up to the house, their body cams showing their movements.
They’re fast but cautious, Anja could have set traps, she could be armed. I want my parents saved but I don’t want anyone to die doing it. I should be out there, I should be protecting them!
They breach the building, running from room to room, guns at the ready. A series of, “clear!” being repeated as each room is checked. It’s empty. One agent kicks down the door to my parents room to find a laptop on the bed, a video feed open on it.
We see a shadowy figure on the screen. “Pull them out, now!” I shout, but it’s too late. All the body cams cut out. The dashcam from the SUV outside shows my parents home engulfed in flames. If I didn’t know any better, I would say that that explosion is very similar to the one in Berlin.

Is There a Serial Pusher in Manchester? Don't Walk in the Tunnel of Doom. Death at the Devil's Urinal. Part 1 A Visit To the Devil’s Urinal. - The Manchester Murder Mystery
Is there a serial killer loose in Manchester, and if so how has he been allowed to kill constantly for years and remain hidden. Shockingly when checking figures only the men found deceased on the canal are counted in the ‘Pushers’ death toll. And they are only counted if they are found along a small stretch of the canal within the inner city. On the 11th of January, 2015, British tabloid The Daily Star made the connection after using the Freedom of Information Act to check the number of deaths along the canal system, the Star's report revealed that 61 bodies had been pulled from the waters of Manchester in the last six years.
The Manchester ship canal runs all the way to the coast, and has many tributaries, yet the cases on these stretches are neither counted or investigated. In 2020 Reynard Sinaga was convicted of a number of sexual assaults on young men he helped back to his flat where he would drug them, attack them and film the ordeal. His apartment was on the canal itself, yet he is not being linked to any of the Pusher cases. Several days after his arrest the Manchester evening news reported there is no Pusher, and there will be no enquiry into the death of the many missing males who go missing here every month. There are thought to be around 90 deaths attributed to the Manchester 'Pusher' in the last 15 yrs. No deaths before this date are counted, and no missing are included in this number. 90 is the number of recovered victims. 90 Males pulled from the waterway, yet the Greater Manchester Police, Manchester City Council and the Media will tell you there is no one responsible for these deaths. If the deaths were accidental, surely safety precautions put in place would have reduced the number greatly? If these cases are due to bad lighting or hazardous walkways, why has this not been rectified. The City has Millions of pounds spent within its centre every day. Yet CCTV footage is minimal and Police presence a rarity.
And why no mention of the female victims, so many of them go missing on the Canal, in one case all that was found was a lower limb, the case was closed and reported as having “no suspicious circumstances’? Other victims' whereabouts were lost when vital CCTV evidence was 'missing' or 'unavailable' yet Manchester city centre has thousands of CCTV cameras in operation. One man phoned his parents, who stayed on the phone with him, and contacted the police. For 1 1/2 hrs the 999 call operator stayed on the line and tried to help. Yet the next day the police said although the 999 system records all calls automatically, unfortunately for this one call out of the many thousand received that day there is no record? This gentlemans phone was found many days later next to the canal in an area already searched by the police.
Man’s body was found in Greater Manchester waterway, taking the total number of deaths in the region in seven years to 85 - 3/2/16. The body of a man has been pulled from a canal in Greater Manchester. An astonishing 85 bodies - mostly men - have been pulled from the region's waterways in the last seven years. The cause behind the majority of the deaths are believed to have been established as not suspicious, but 28 are still classified as 'unexplained', resulting in open verdicts. Emergency services and a specialist diving unit were called after a body was spotted in Portland Basin at around 8.30am today. The man is white and believed to be in his 40s or 50s. A GMP spokesman said it was too early to establish how the man died or whether there are any suspicious circumstances.
Some recent deaths have caused speculation that loved ones were the victims of a serial killer they dubbed The Pusher - a psychopath who murders his targets by bundling them into the icy waters. Some families believe their claim has considerable substance not only because of the disproportionately high numbers of people to have died in the rivers, but due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths of several men.

Man’s body found in water at Salford Quays 3/6/20 - Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in water at Salford Quays. Shortly before 1pm today the body of a man was discovered in the water near the Salford Watersports Centre. His body was recovered from the water by Greater Manchester Fire crews along with police.
A little like the Smiley faced killer in America the Pusher has a penchant for young men. Although as of yet no handy signature has been left at the scene. The men are often out in town, enjoying a meet up with mates, or spending their hard earned wages from the previous few days. The men, some of which are boys, are often separated from their friends for one reason or another. Many of them have phones and wallets intact when found. Which speaks of no robbery and the ability to get a cab home. So how do they vanish and appear in or next too Manchester's notorious water way?
One local resident called the Canal the ‘Devils Urinal’ due to the number of crimes committed along it's stretch and the many hundreds of people it has killed in the history of its existence. My Grt, Grt grand parents on my Mothers side left Ireland to build the canal in the 1890’s. Tinkers and Navvies they were called. Hard working men who were paid pennies to work in the deadly conditions. The canal which is really a River system made it easier for goods to be transported between Manchester and the docks at Liverpool. It made Manchester an inland port and changed the fortunes for many, good and bad. 130 men were killed during its construction. And many perished later due to the harsh working conditions. The canal was bombed over and over during the war, it shaped the city of my birth. Gone are the original communities like Hanky park and Langworthy. Over 200 years and the deaths continue, many of the cases closed regardless of circumstances. Many petitions have been presented from families asking for an inquiry into the deaths.
The next case we look at I feel should be high on the list of investigations to be re-opened.The glaring incompetence of the Police in this case was so bad it almost smacks of a cover up. It is at the very least gross negligence. Like most of the cases there was very little investigation done. People even today have the 'they were drunk' attitude when it comes to these cases. Or even worse, 'they put themselves in danger by being where they were'. Yet millions of people visit the city centre night clubs and bars everyday, restaurants, cafes and shops and make it home just fine. These cases are different. And when you see them all together you begin to realise there could be something to the rumours that a killer or several killers are at large in the Manchester area. Times that by every waterway, in every city and the figures become staggering.
Find out who Killed our Son!' Parents hear "Howls and Screams" in their son's final call? - Tragic David Plunkett’s chilling screams, heard by a 999 call handler, were not taped because the recorder was not working, claimed GMP Police. The officer who dealt with the “distressing” call was so appalled by the blunder she later resigned. The phone call from David, 21, who came from Halifax, W Yorks, was the last anyone heard from him before he was found dead in the Manchester Ship Canal three weeks later. He vanished after leaving a nightclub at Trafford Park near Manchester in April 2004. His reason for being ejected? he pushed into a queue for the gents toilets. This sadly changed the course of his life and left his family and friends devastated.
At his inquest we heard that his anguished parents rang him to check if he was OK after hearing he had lost his pals. He started to scream and howl. They dialled 999 on another phone and held the two handsets together so the police operator could hear his distress. It was the last time they spoke to their son. The pair called their son's phone the night he died, only to hear terrified screams. Anne said: 'The screaming and howling was so unearthly that you just felt it had to be something.'
This message was Issued from a former GMP officer who handled the call. The woman, who we are not naming, said: “I took a very distressing 999 call.” She said David had been “in a distressed state” during the call with his parents “but they could not hear anything other than their son screaming”. She added: “I dealt with them for well over an hour, trying to sort out assistance for them and him. "The incident still haunts me to this date and with every death I see reported in the news I become more and more convinced that these are murders and not accidents.”
A pathologist said the likely cause of death was drowning and the inquest ruled it was accidental. But David’s mum Anne, 66, disagrees. And she hit out at the police probe into her son’s death. The retired head teacher said: “Someone is responsible for David’s death. The police investigation was unacceptable. "It was a case of ‘young man, too much to drink, falls into the canal, end of story’. "But so many important factors were ignored and there were versions of events that simply did not add up.”
David Plunkett had been at a concert at the Daytona Racetrack, also in Trafford Park, before he went missing in April 2004. Recalling the last time she spoke to her son, Anne said: “I could barely make out what he was saying. "He started screaming and howling. "It was extremely distressing. "I thought he was being attacked. “We rang the police and put the phone to them but it soon went dead. "It later turned out the call wasn’t recorded because the tape recorder wasn’t working. "It really does beggar belief.” Anne said her brother found David’s phone upstream from the body – despite an earlier police search. She added: “The whole case leaves more questions than answers. "He could have been attacked, he could have had his drink spiked. "Anything could have happened.”

"In the early hours of the morning, the phone went and it was David's friend Michael," his mother, Anne, stated. "He said he'd lost David and was trying to get in touch with him. He said he and David had lost each other in the club, and I just said to close the phone and I'd try to call David. It took about three attempts before David answered, but he didn't speak. The first thing that struck me was the quietness of where David was. It was virtually silent. All I could hear was the sound of him walking, that was evident from his breathing, and I said, 'Do you know where you are? Are you in Manchester? Do you recognise anything?' – but I got no response from him. And then, about seven or eight minutes into the call, there was suddenly this ghastly screaming. I started crying, handed the phone to my husband, Mike, and I made a 999 call"
"The screaming I heard," continues Mike, "made me feel like David had seen something that had terrified him." Then at 4:30 AM," says Anne, "the phone just went dead."
It took the police two weeks to find his body in the canal. They claimed to have searched the area and nothing was found. His uncle found his phone not too far from where his body was recovered after the supposed police search. What happened to David that night. The area of the nightclub is well lit, there are taxis outside and lots of numbers advertised in the foyer. walking towards the lights makes far more sense than wandering out of the bustle and towards the canal. Why did David not contact his friend? Were there any missed calls or texts between them? Why did the police not track David's phone and his movements that night. There is CCTV coverage in the area. Even though it was late people would have been around. It's a popular area even at night. Was anything missing from David when he was finally recovered. Were there any signs of injury? Sadly the case is now closed and there will be no further investigations or enquiries made.
A Man was Hurled into a Canal at night - Rumours of a possible serial attacker have been revived after a 34-year-old office worker was thrown into the city’s Bridgewater canal then kicked back in as he tried to save himself from drowning. The victim, who said he almost drowned after his legs became tangled in his bicycle while he was below the surface of the canal, said he had asked police about the “Manchester pusher” legend and that “they were well aware of the stories”. “I definitely feel like I’m lucky to be alive. I could easily have drowned because of what he did,” The Pusher was described as a white male aged between 20-40, he is of average height and was wearing a black jacket.
Tom says he is "disappointed" with the police response and said the canals were the perfect place for crime. "It's pitch black down there," he said. "There's no lights. You look up, someone catches your eye and then in four seconds you're in dirty water."
Tom is right, it takes a split second to push someone into the murky waters of the canal. There are areas below the bridges and walkways where you do not walk at night or in the day for fear of your safety. Many drugs deals, robberies and hate crimes take place in these hidden spots. Out of the way from busy shoppers and party goers. Once you leave the bright lights of central Manchester you are confronted with an almost Victorian street mentality. Pickpockets, homeless folk and thieves are around every corner. Add to this the lack of officers to attend incidents and you have a perfect melting pot for committing crime and getting away with it. If you want to steal someone’s phone, money, sense of security or life, do it in the back streets of Manchester and you won't have to pay a price.
8/6/18 Orlando Nyero was celebrating his 19th birthday in Manchester. Three days later his body was pulled from the Canal, which runs through the heart of the city. But he was not the first man to be found in that very spot, another victim had already died after a night out, and his body was discovered only 3 months earlier. Orlando was found in the same waterway as student Charlie Pope, also 19. Orlando and Charlie are among 90 people who have been recovered dead from Greater Manchester’s canals since 2007. There are many more who are reported missing never to be found.
Nick Pope spoke about his son Charlie and his mysterious death ""Look around here, it's just a bloody death trap," he says, as people drink outside at tables a few metres from the water's edge" The lighting is bad and there is no CCTV. Nobody knows what happened to Charlie that night. Three months later Orlando was found in almost the same spot. 19-year-old, Orlando Nyero, drowned a few hundred metres further down the same stretch of water. Orlando's brother, Sam Abui, was with him that night and said they had been celebrating a birthday in the city. "The police said it was an accident. It was a tragic accident," he said.
Manchester City Centre is a hot spot for tourists and party goers alike, there is also a huge student population close to the centre as Manchester has a number of colleges, universities and teaching hospitals. Thousands of people visit the city each day and the evenings are no exception. Yet step two streets away from the bright lights and you will find yourself in the city's seedy underbelly. The central gardens in Piccadilly are a very good example of this. Many years ago the gardens were a lovely place to be. I would often sit there and eat my lunch each day, as I worked in the city centre, but at night it was a place to be avoided. Drug pushers and drunks abound, and one street away you have the heart of the city's red light district. Now sadly you have to avoid the back streets and the gardens even in the daytime, the police are short handed and understaffed. There is no help out there on the streets other than your own. People are killed, raped and attacked on an almost daily basis.
Yet the City Council, the local newspaper and media will deny there is a problem, numerous times it has been stated there is not a problem in Manchester when it comes to crime. The men and women pulled from the canal are in there by choice, or due to bad judgement of their own. The powers that be refuse to admit there is a problem with 'date rape' drugs, yet hundreds of cases are handled by Greater Manchester police each year. In the past year alone two men have been arrested and jailed for this very crime.
Police have charged a man over the death of popular Northern Quarter chef Hiran Chauhan whose body was found wrapped in plastic in woodland close to Buile Hill Park in Salford shortly before 8.10am on Tuesday 9 July 2019. Police descended on a small patch of woodland close to Buile Hill Park at around 8:10 am 9/7/20 after they were alerted to a body having been found by school children which appeared to be wrapped in plastic. The children were heading to school for morning lessons at the nearby Buile Hill Academy when the grisly discovery was made.

Hiran had last been seen making his way home from work in Manchester on the 2nd of July, he later was seen exiting a tram at Langworthy at around 11:31pm but tragically he never made it to his room in a rented house he shared with others. Neil Cuckson (16/10/1987) of Eccles Old Road in Salford has been charged with Administering a Noxious Substance, Supplying class A and class C controlled drugs, Perverting the Course of Justice and Preventing Lawful Burial and will appear at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square on Thursday December 19 2019.
Reynhard Sinaga: 'Evil sexual predator' jailed for life for 159 attacks - Reynhard Sinaga was found guilty of luring 48 men from outside Manchester clubs to his flat, where he drugged and assaulted them - filming the attacks. Police say they have evidence Sinaga, 36, who is being named for the first time, targeted at least 190 victims. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said Sinaga was "the most prolific rapist in British legal history". The judge ruled his life sentence must include a minimum of 30 years in jail. The postgraduate student was already serving life, with a minimum term of 20 years, for the offences he was convicted of in two earlier trials, which took place in summer 2018 and last spring.
Detectives say they have been unable to identify a further 70 victims and are now appealing for anyone who believes they may have been abused by Sinaga to come forward. At the hearing, Judge Suzanne Goddard QC said Sinaga was "an evil serial predator who has preyed upon young men" who wanted "nothing more than a good night out with their friends". "In my judgment you are a highly dangerous, cunning and deceitful individual who will never be safe to be released," she said - adding that the decision to release prisoners is made by the Parole Board.

https://preview.redd.it/7lkqfgprsdo51.jpg?width=308&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa97498826bef28625480dedced8cdd1e03fc7e3
Sinaga would wait for men leaving nightclubs and bars before leading them to his flat in Montana House, Princess Street, often with the offer of somewhere to have a drink or call a taxi. He drugged his victims before assaulting them while they were unconscious. When the victims woke up many of them had no memory of what had happened. The student, who denied the charges, had claimed all the activity was consensual and that each man had agreed to being filmed while pretending to be asleep - a defence described by the judge as "ludicrous".
At an earlier sentencing, the judge said she was sure that Sinaga had used a form of date rape drug such as GHB. The rapist was caught in June 2017 when one victim, who regained consciousness while being assaulted, fought Sinaga off and called the police. Assistant Chief Constable Mabbs Hussain said the true extent of Sinaga's offending would probably never be known. "We suspect he's offended over a period of 10 years," he said. "The information and evidence we are going from is largely from trophies that he's collected from the victims of his crimes." Investigators traced dozens of victims from the videos using clues found in Sinaga's Manchester flat, such as stolen phones, ID cards and watches.
The flat mentioned in the article was situated ideally for Sinaga, in fact it was on canal street itself, his balcony overlooked the canal. Was he responsible for any of the mystery deaths, it would be easy to quietly push somebody from your first floor level into the canal below. Or to slip out of the building with a rug or suitcase in the dead of night and rid yourself of a problem. Yet the police state there is no connection between Sinaga and any of the 'Pushers' suspected victims. It would have been very easy for him to pick up lone males and offer his help. Come back to mine, phone a taxi and we can have a drink while you wait, was probably said a hundred times by Sinaga. How many other Sinaga’s are out there, unknown? How many have there been before him, predatory males, who use Manchester centre as their dumping ground?
I grew up in Manchester in the 70’s and 80’s. I was a young lass when the Yorkshire ripper cases started to be reported. I remember another level of fear each time a new body was recovered. I remember curfews for women and men questioned by police because they had a Northern accent or drove for a living. I remember the tape of Wearside Jack being played in school assemblies and on the TV at home. I remember our neighbour being murdered around that time, she was coming home from the pub. She was so badly disfigured and abused by her murderer the police counted her as a Ripper victim until her killer was caught. And I remember the snide remarks of “well she put herself in that position” “if she had been home seeing to her husband this would not have happened” I was so shocked by these comments they still sit with me. And yet 40 yrs on it's still a popular public opinion.
I highly doubt the lady in question set out that night intending to be cruelly killed, disemboweled and left for dead on scrap land within feet of her own front door. Back then the ladies would work all week and on a saturday, with their best frock on and hair newly set and ready they would go to bingo or down to the local pub or club, for a few port and lemons and a natter with their friends. Pubs shut at 10.30pm then. Back home with a chippy supper and hopes of a lie in tomorrow morning were probably the last actions and thoughts she had. She was somebody's Mum, sister, daughter and wife, an aunt and a niece and probably someone's best friend. And because she joined her friends from the mill or factory for a drink she deserved what came her way. That's shocking, but what shocks me more is 40 years later we utter the same words. “If he was at home this wouldn't have happened” “why put yourself in that position” has been said about every one of the missing males found in the Canal. And they are someone’s son, father, brother, uncle and nephew, they had mates they went to the gym with, or played footy with as kids. Ordinary working class lads letting their hair down and having a good time, before it's back to work on Monday morning. We all did this and still do, in towns and cities across the UK. Getting spruced up and meeting your mates after working all week was the norm. I remember hundreds of times I rushed back home on payday to get ready to go out when I was young, free and single. I have attended 18th’s, 21st’s, Hen do’s, Birthdays in the pubs and clubs. And made it home safe and sound each time. I am one of the lucky ones. see part 2

How this trip might be the most scary, but most important experience I have had in my entire life. (up to this point.)
Okay. Just wanna start off by saying this is gonna be a rather long story, as yesterday was one of the craziest nights of my life. But this is the story of how an acid trip can go very wrong, but these bad trips can be used to guide us. Just for a bit of background, I am 19 years old, a female who just graduated high school a week ago. (After 5 long years, i was held back a grade) I’m still coming to terms with what I saw and what happened. Also I will be giving aliases to my friends, change it so its not their real name here.
So i had made plans with a few of my rave friends to go on a camping trip, we were gonna bring a lot of drugs. Such as Ketamine, acid, dmt, shrooms, weed, alcohol, etc This was the first time i had seen them since quarantine, so i was super excited to finally be reunited w them. It meant the world to me.
We hoped we could go swimming, do a campfire, make kandi, do glove shows, smoke and vibe. And enjoy the beautiful view we had, from our tent in front of a tall cliff overlooking the water, and the bridge above. It was indeed beautiful, but little did we know things would go VERY wrong, very fast. Its strange, because a few days before the camping trip, one of my friends who was supposed to come claimed he felt like “something was going to go wrong”.
Anyways, to the camping trip.
So I had one of my new friends pick me up. Lets call this friend, “Aaron” Made sure to wake up early and eat something, get everything settled. A picked me up, we vibed to some edm and got to know each other. We instantly clicked very well, shared dabs and talked about our love for music. We then grabbed one of my good friends, lets call her “Rosealie” who i was super excited to finally see. Lastly we grabbed another friend, whom i also bonded with in the same way. Lets call him “Mason” The vibes were amazing, I loved the energy our group had already. We got to the camping spot, and our friend who set up the plans had already drove there early that morning and set up the tent and some things we might needed. Lets call him “Jake” We did a lot more of setting up when we got there, we had to carry a lot of things from the car to the spot, it was a bit of a hike. We did a little Ketamine on the way there as well just for fun.
As soon as we were done, we threw on some music and rolled up a joint, and hotboxed the tent. Another good vibe. The last friend who would be staying the night arrived, he was rather kind and helpful with getting things going and brought a positive energy. Lets call him, “Zan” As we continued to set things up, a few of us left to go to the grocery and liquor store. I stayed with Mason and laughed as he danced funny to the riddim we were blasting. As soon as everyone came back, we finished setup finally. The drugs were gonna be broke out, and taken. Now begins the REAL experience.
Jake offered to give a good amount of acid and k to throw myself into a good experience. I considered throwing shrooms into the mix, but didn’t end up doing so. Jake, Aaron, Zan and Mason all mixed lemon w shroomies to make that intensifying potion. (lemon tek) From what they said, it definitely hit them rather hard. Rosalie decided to stay away from the psychs and weed, and stuck to drinking instead. (Remember this point, as its very important later on)
So as soon as they dropped, Jake dripped like 3 drops of some PURE ass acid on my tongue.
Jake: have you tripped recently? Me: yes, 600 micrograms Jake: i’ll give u another drop or two, since your tolerance has probably builded up.
YOU BUY THE TICKET, YOU RIDE THE RIDE.
Me, Rosalie and Jake then changed into our bathing suits and were going to go down to the rope swing. I for some reason spaced out a bit, and so Zan was kind enough to guide me down the hike downwards to the beach. As i was going down, the acid started to hit me in waves. Increasing more and more, it was a struggle to get down, but we made it. Once I was there, reality had already begun to drift away. I stood next to my friends, but I was staring at the trees starting to shift. The colors starting to intensify, oh boy was in for a ride. I was hearing voices, and things all over. I saw a bunch of teenagers hanging out on top of another cliff. I began to think, what was this place? There were a lot of teenagers and young adults like us, seeming like they were trying to escape the current situation of a pandemic, and a fight between the police and the people. I felt like I was back home at a rave in that sense. Like these people surrounding me were all wooks too, like this was some sort of imaginary rave paradise in my mind. Raves come up a lot in my trips considering how deep i have grown in the edm scene and how much i love it. I never even went in to the water because i was so entrapped in the trip, and the visuals, so when my friends left, I followed, strangely we ran into one of flowers old highschool friends, down by the beach and shared conversation, small world. Slowly, my mental state lost itself. I was stumbling to hike back up, terrified for some reason that something would go wrong. I was clinging to a branch, asking R to help me because i was barely coherent enough to move. We made it up safely finally. I sat in the tent and the visuals were getting so strong i couldn’t even move, my feet were all muddy and Rosealie and to help me wipe them off. I wasn’t coherent enough to do so myself. This is how i knew i was in for a ride, and my ego was fucking being ripped from my body it felt like. Never have i ever tripped this hard and i was just on the come up. Anxious waves every now and then but ive tripped on a massive dose like this so i know how to manage. But for some reason this feeling of something bad that was going to happen, would enter and leave my mind constantly. Especially because one of my friends messaged me prior to the trip saying that things could go wrong. But for now i pushed this thought away as I wanted to enjoy my time.
From here on out, my memory is somewhat blacked out. I remember half of it, shit half of it i don’t even know if its real or just this crazy mindboggling dimension I traveled to. So I’m gonna try my best to describe what happened. This is especially weird considering most trips i am very much in control, even in high doses, i was always able to find my footing and enjoy a trip. I will admit as i started to trip more, this journey became more intense and less about “pretty visuals” and more about finding myself.
As we got back things got kinda weird, we hotboxed the tent a little more. I started growing silent and this trip was taking me over. We played some music at the campfire, we talked a bit to other people walking by. It was funny as fuck cause randomly this guy comes walking by saying “just going to deliver door dash” he looked straight up like he was tweaking too. Me and Mason and Jake looked at eachother and starting dying.
Mason: “what the fuck was that” starts bursting out laughing
Jake: “I don’t even fucking know dude. Maybe he’s messing with us”
Im just sitting here laughing like “wtf bro” over and over Like there was no way someone could even get service for door dash out here in the middle of nowhere on some random cliff. So either that dude was on what we were on or he was just fucking w us like Jake said.
Zan: “That must make your trip pretty interesting huh sky”
Up too this point, every person at our campsite began to trip pretty damn hard, except for Rosalie (she only drank)
Other people came walking by and spoke to us, they could tell we were viewing the world from different lenses, and they just laughed and joked about the smell of weed coming from our campsite. Alcohol and bongs all around us.
They just joked about how we looked like we had a good vibe going and it looked chill.
“Somebody’s having a good time” the strangers said
Now was the time for food! My friends began cooking, we were vibing to edm and smoking some more of that sacred plant we all know and love. Made some brats and had chips and all that. I took a few bites of food and not even the weed or the wax was helping my appetite. I was having a good time anyways so i didnt mind it. I kept talking about how i was excited for it to get dark cause i was excited to glove later and just vibe. My phone at this point became a object i forgot even existed, it remained in the tent for the rest of the night from that moment.
Soon, rain started coming down out of nowhere. It started out small but soon it became bad, and we all started panicking and trying to move all the stuff we could to the tent (we had to leave some stuff outside.) Mason and Aaron started to get anxiety during this, and they were tripping very hard so they decided to get in Aaron’s car and go drive downtown to Mason’s house. (He lived like 20 minutes from here. I didnt find out they left untill later. I sat in the tent with this scared empty look on my face, i love rain and thunder. However it made camping very scary for me. Once we closed the tent and started vibing in there my worries mostly left. I kept asking where Mason and Aaron went and my friends kept telling me they left and went back to Mason’s. As they wanted to be somewhere more safe and secluded. It finally started to get dark, and the climax of this story will arrive soon.
It was just me, Rosalie, Jake and Zan left. So we were listening to music, smoking some more, the trip had grown so intense that i didnt even feel inside my body anymore. The visuals started getting so strong, everything moved. Everything had life to it. I could feel the energy in the tent, and outside the tent. All the insects, animals and plants, and my friends. My friend described to me later how trips in nature are stronger because of the nature all around us. My body felt like it was uncontrollable, i fell back into the sides of the tent, then felt myself pulled up. What was this energy? I kept saying “what the fuck is this” or “whats happening” i cant even to begin to describe the intense things i was seeing but holy F U C K. Was i seeing things.
I started getting sad for some reason, the feeling of something bad happening kept coming back. Im getting chills just writing this and thinking about it... My friend, Jake noticed, and it was weird. Super strange, he started telling me things about myself i wasnt even thinking about... or saying. Ive had a friend read my mind before in a trip, but i wasn’t even thinking about it. Jake had a gift of being able to feel my emotions, and my pain.
Jake: “Its okay, your okay” he says while hugging me “I know you would skate around, and go do lots of drugs to get away from your pain. You felt like you never had a family who accepted you, so you were searching for your family elsewhere. Your friends are your family, we love you. Its gonna be okay. Your still here” I silently looking at him curious as to how.
Its so crazy how someone could even begin to understand the pain Ive had held inside for all these years. When i never could even try to begin to understand it. And this learning even built onto my next trip. (Maybe ill do a part 2 and talk about that?) This was only the beginning of unpacking those emotions which were causing me to be who i was.
“Where are your gloves?” I grabbed them outside of my backpack, if none of you have ever seen gloving, its something i cant speak on with words. Amazing to witness without gloves, even more amazing with drugs. (Especially psychs) But using them yourself.... its a whole other world. I allowed him to use my gloves, and wow was it putting me in another world. I had the biggest grin on my face, and i just kept saying “wtf bro holy shit, what is this” We were listening to “The Mist” by CharlesTheFirst An amazing song for our experience, i vividly remember hearing this song, every time I hear it I think of that night. Zan is sitting in the corner laughing keeps saying “just enjoy it” I soon wanted to glove myself, and i kept asking jake to let me have my gloves back. But when he gave them to me I just sat there and stared blankly at him. I was having a hard time even picking them up and using them. So he kept gloving. Soon though, he asked me if I was ready for more ketamine.... this was gonna be the one that put me into the K hole... and this was also the peak of my acid trip... boy oh boy i was in for a ride and i didn’t even know it. He helped me snort down the k which gave me this nasty drip, and this very strange feeling in my nose and body. I was fine at first, we lit another Joint too. But i was so fucked up i barely wanted to hit the weed, and my friends know how much i love my weed.
Soon the ketamine hit, and i covered my face w my hands. It started getting very intense, and soon i found myself unconscious. I remember going to this place, and then going to another place. It felt like i was jumping around dimensions. I could hear all my friends, but i couldn’t see them. I saw entities, or people. Whatever they were, they were talking with one another, ignoring my presence. Soon i was somewhere else, it felt like a thoughtloop. And in this place, i heard sirens. I was alone in a tent, with nothing except me in the tent. My friends voices were gone. I was afraid it was police. “I WANT MY FRIENDS BACK, I WANT MY FRIENDS BACK” I cried out over and over, tears starting to fall back. I reached out my hand trying to find them. I convinced myself that i had travelled dimensions, i had took too many psychs. And this was the place u go when you had done so. I thought i was so far gone in this dimension that i was never going to be able to return from the worm hole. “REALITY, REALITY” i said over and over again begging the universe to save me. At this point my ego had completely shattered, and this mightve been one of the scariest moments of my entire life. I lost my chill exterior, and i was scared out of my mind. I thought the universe was punishing me for all the drugs i had done. I thought the sirens were coming for me, my friends had all left me. And i had no more chances. I was going to sit and rot in that cell for the rest of my life, and my parents would disown me... this was the first trip where i had a bad ego death, and a bad experience in general. My ego had been completely teared out of me. People might be able to tell when they are tripping but when your ego is lost, and you lose your humanity and personality. You don’t remember who you are, or what you are. You might not even remember anything. And i was completely delusional in that point. But, this wasn’t even the scariest part of the experience. None of us expected what had come next.
Before i even knew what was happening, i came back to reality. I was still tripping but i was out of the K hole, but i was back in this world and not some other dimension. I remember Rosalie hugging me saying. “Im right here sky, im your friend. Im here for you” I felt so relieved, i wasn’t going to be trapped in this other world without any chances. I honestly have the biggest fear of police and jail so maybe thats part of what came out. By now the sky had gotten completely dark, and i was able to calm down with the help of my friends and music.
Soon Rosalie and Zan started to put together the fire. They were spending time outside the tent, doing whatever. (I was tripping to hard to even be able to notice) And me and Jake were in the tent listening to our edm and gloving. He was asking me about the things i had saw in there and how the overall experience were.
But then, i heard screams. Me: “What was that?” Jake: “I dont know”
Rosalie:Screaming) “Zan FELL OFF THE CLIFF”
I didn’t want to believe what i was hearing, i thought it was just one of my delusions. But i was scared out of my mind. Jake couldn’t believe it either, its good Rosalie saw it because she had only drank and we were all tripping balls. (Remember how i said that was important) Like we were at the point of not being grounded in reality, it took Rosalie telling Jake multiple times that he did indeed fall off a cliff for him to register that it was in fact reality. I on the other hand, was freaking out silently considering what i just went through, and the feeling of something bad happening throughout the night. I was still in shock mode, and I didn’t believe it was real.
Rosalie: “We have to call 911 right now” Jake: “I have to hide the drugs, we need to get him some help”
Jake started running around the campsite grabbing shit, trying to hide all the drugs.
“Is it really really? Did he really fall off a cliff?” I asked, scared out of my mind.
Jake: “Yes he did, we have to hide the drugs and call the police” he said before leaving the tent again in a hurry.
I sat there scared out of my mind, nothing was convincing me of the truth. All i wanted was my friends to be here with me having a good time, not this. Why did this have to happen? Was it really real?
Rosalie started calling 911, i remember hearing some of the words she said to the police. “One of our friends fell off a cliff, we needed help!”
There were so many thoughts running through my head, i was so anxious and all i could think about was comfort. The comfort of knowing my friends were okay, i just wanted to be with them. Again the trip was showing me the thing ive been battling the most over quarentine; missing my friends. I missed them more than anything in the world, this was the first go ive had since then, and it had manifested into my trip. My visuals were so strong at this point still.
In my panic, i saw Rosalie panicked too she looked terrified, she got off the phone. J started crying before me. Jake: WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN”
It felt like a camera clicking, the flashes of seeing them, and another flash and they were gone. I was unable to be comforted. (I was however understandably the least of the concern) I was left all alone in the tent, with both Jake and Rosalie gone. They were checking on Zan. I heard sirens again... like my K hole experience. I was absolutely mortified, what if they knew we were on drugs? What if they found everything? Was Zan okay? I kept imagining the worst possible outcomes. Zan dying, us being taken away.
I heard someone scream, it sounded like Jake. But i think it was Jake and Rosalie. They were both screaming. “WE NEED HELP” “CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE GET US SOME HELP!” “THIS WASN’T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN”
The sirens were getting closer and closer, this again, was probably one of the most scariest experiences of my life. I just sat in the tent for what felt like an eternity, all the worries running through my head.
Soon i heard a walky talkie, and thats how i knew cops were here. I heard the voices and i was absolutely mortified of being seen, so i just hid in the tent. Soon i heard Rosalie and Jake talking to the cops. Rosalie just said we were all drunk. (Which is ironic considering she was probably the only person who did indeed drink)
I was mortified, they were asking where he was, what happened etc. I still didn’t even know if everything that was happening was real or a delusion. EVEN up to this point. I didn’t wanna believe it.
Thankfully all of our drugs were hidden, also the bong was in the woods w/ alcohol. I sat in that tent saying “reality” over and over and over just trying to bring myself back to ground. I couldn’t even trust my own eyes. I was in a seperate tent from the one i was in while it first happened. I don’t remember how i even got there or when but i’m guessing i probably got scared and hid. I remember constantly panicking and moving my hands and touching the tent to feel if it was real, i would realize it was. Then do it again, and i began searching for things like my phone, or my gloves but the tent was indeed empty.
Soon I heard Rosalie’s voice. R: “SKY, come here”
I was startled, i just sat there with this anxious dumbfounded expression. Not moving an inch. She kept calling me and telling me to come over, before grabbing my wrist and helping me go to the other tent. I was scared shitless, i couldn’t look the cops in the eyes. I kept thinking about how they were going to take my friends away, and I was gonna be left here all alone. Or how they were going to arrest me. Me, Zan and Jake were all on probation, so if we were involved with drugs we would get arrested.
I barely remember anything the cops said, I got so scared at this point that most of this part is blacked out, but I will repeat what I can. I remember hiding inside the other tent (the one with all of our stuff in it) that Rosalie brought me to. I remember Rosalie and Jake were talking to the cops, and i kept thinking they were gonna take them away. So i kept sitting there panicking thinking about every bad thing that could occur. I didn’t dare speak I just wanted everything to be okay. I was still figuring out if this was all real or not.
The cops had to call an ambulance and get Zan to the hospital, I have no idea when this occurred but I assume it was when I was having my freakout in the other tent.
Cops: “You guys probably shouldn’t stay so close to the cliff, its dangerous”
They talked about how we were gonna stay here for the rest of the night, and how we should stay safe. I remember looking outside the tent and peeking my head out to look at the cops to see if they were really there, and indeed they were. One of the cops looked at me and asked if I was okay.
Me: “yeah.... i’m fine”
That was the biggest lie i’ve ever told, I’ve never been this scared in my entire life.
The visuals were starting to lessen a lot at this point i realize, but the acid feeling still remained which is why I was feeling so sensitive to everything.
Something that happened next shocked me, Jake’s parents showed up. I didn’t know who they were, I had met them once before but I didn’t remember what they looked like. He called them, i remember him crying and them comforted him.
Before I knew it Jake and his parents were gone. And the cops left that same moment telling us to stay safe.
It was just me and Rosalie at the campground now. I kept asking her questions. My mind was all over the place, I didn’t know if everything happening was real or fake. Especially after my K hole experience, I was having a hard time understanding reality.
Me: “What happened! Did Zan really fall off a cliff, are they okay? Where is everyone?”
I was asking all these questions, and I was startled. Rosalie kept telling me they were all safe in the other tent. But it wasn’t enough, I needed to see their faces. I needed the comfort of their voices. I wanted to talk to them and have fun with everyone. I kept thinking about how upset I was, that I was going through some seriously scary shit and I felt like I missed the whole fun portion of the trip. I wished I was able to enjoy it more, have fun.
I kept asking over and over and Rosalie kept insisting she would tell me in the morning. She wanted to sleep and she told me I should get some sleep too. Eventually it got to the point where I realized that I wouldn’t know until morning. I also realized that R wanted to sleep, and I should let her. But I realized I had to use the bathroom first, as I hadn’t for several hours and if I intended to sleep I should.
She was worried about my safety going alone so she came with, for some reason when we got out there i didn’t do anything I just stood there. I felt awkward using the bathroom in front of someone else. And she kept getting frustrated that i wasn’t going. So we went back in the tent, and i realized i still had to go. “Here let me go quick” I went out there, peed quick and came back in and laid down and tried to sleep. It was damn near impossible, I couldn’t stop thinking about the night. On top of that I was on the comedown of the acid, so I was only able to sleep for a short time. Then I just lay there awaiting Rosalie’d awakening.
When she finally woke up, we had a very intense talk. I asked her if Zan really did fall off a cliff. If everything was real, etc. She told me yes it was all indeed real, my k hole had seen it even before it happened. We realized we needed to start getting things together, she also told me Jake was with his family at their house. Zan was at a hospital, she also told me he didn’t have his phone and the cop left us a card so we would have to go on a goose chase. I checked my phone after the whole night and realized my mom called me during the night and asked me if I was okay for some reason.
It was around this time I had a breakdown and started crying, and Rosalie started comforting me. I confessed about how I had felt so alone during quarantine, I missed raving, i missed my friends. So i was sad, we realized this trip was meant to teach us all things. I was just glad zan was okay. Rosalie told me that Jake would come get us when he woke up, probably with his mom. That thought scared me after what happened. Me and Rosalie laughed about the tent below us, overlooking above. Wondering what they must have thought of what was going on lol. They probably thought “wtf”
When Jake and his mom came I had just stopped crying, finally me Jake and Rosalie all got to talk about and unpack the night. Figure things out, we also had to pack up the things in the car. I talked to his mom a little, i kept thanking her and she was super nice. Jake told me that he has told her everything about his drug use, that part shocked me, he told me that he hoped to be completely honest with his parents, as a way of moving forwards. He also told me his mom said “hide the drugs” when she came and the cops were here I thought that was funny.
Once we finished packing everything, I said thank you and I’m sorry to his mom. She told me “Your welcome, I hope you learn from this” “I will” Not knowing, she told me both that I would hopefully learn from what happened, but ALSO the trip. (The thing she can’t understand yet) Those are some words i think ill never forget. The three of us agreed that while this night scared the hell out of us the best possible outcome happened, we could have all gone to jail w the drugs we had or we could have lost a friend that night.
Jake drove Rosalie home, then me, then he was off to find Zan at the hospital.
We all connected after this, Zan was alive and okay but he has a scar on his face, and had to take painkillers. I talked to him on the phone a bit. Jake and Zan WENT BACK to the cliff to find his vape and his notebook like 6 days after the event and his vape still worked. Mason and Aaron were also good, they were glad they left earlier cause they said they might’ve been traumatized. Jake got kicked out of his house like a month after that night because of what happened, he’s doing okay now, has his own place now with friends. Rosalie moved out recently for college. And I’m working now! A lots changed. Ive had a few trips since then. Perhaps I could make more parts to this story to talk about the growth if its interested. We are all okay, and doing good. We all learned from this. I hope you guys do too, be careful where you trip please. If you have read to the end I hope you enjoyed my crazy fucking story, told from my perspective of what I saw. Let me know what you guys think (: Edit: It took me a few months to write this whole thing since it was on and off during my freetime

2020.09.17 04:29 MidnightPaper There's a strange newspaper that's only delivered at midnight...(Part 2)

Part 1
It’s gone. The first Midnight Paper, which arrived last Friday, has somehow vanished. I put it in a drawer in my dad's study and now it’s gone. Either someone broke in and stole it or it…I don’t know. It sounds ridiculous but then again this whole thing is. Maybe it disappeared on its own.
After last time, I wanted to be prepared. Tonight, I set a chair by the front door and waited anxiously since 11 o’clock. Every time a car drove by, every time a leaf crunched on the asphalt outside, I rushed to the peephole. Nothing.
The minutes dragged, time seemed to stretch. I’ve felt this feeling before, when I ordered something I really wanted online, and I knew it was delivery day.
But this was different. Something about this paper is just…wrong. If anyone else has gotten one, you’d know. It feels like looking at something you’re not meant to be seeing. Like it somehow slipped through the cracks, past all the rigid laws of ordinary life, and made its way to you. Holding one in your hand feels like you’re touching a physical manifestation of a mistake. I imagine this is what it feels like when you touch something radioactive as if every second that it’s in your presence it’s somehow warping the very fabric of your life.
11:55. It’s close. My heart’s beating fast, the anticipation coursing through me like a drug. I stood in front of the peephole, not wanting to miss a second.
I was looking at my front porch. The street outside was dark, and the front steps were illuminated only by the light above the doorway. I’d placed the welcome mat a little further away, so I could see it clearly through the peephole.
And that’s when it happened. The light above the doorway starred to flicker slowly, then faster and faster. Suddenly, it shut off completely. The entire porch was smothered in darkness, the only light coming from the streetlights outside. Somehow, the shadows around my doorstep were darker than the rest, as if swallowing every last hint of light.
Then the light turned on again. Through the peephole, I could see that my front porch looked normal. The bulb above the doorway shone steadily as if nothing had happened.
I rushed, my fingers slamming against the lock, and pulled the front door open. The front porch was empty. The street was empty. One second passed. Two. The normal sounds of the world around me started to seep back in.
I looked down at the welcome mat and it was there, a bundle of black paper, wrapped tightly with black twine.
I hesitated for a moment before grabbing it. Should I bring it inside? Should I read it out here? Should I read it at all?
Then I grabbed it anyway. I had read one. That threshold had already been crossed.
I took the paper into my dad’s study and set it down on his desk. The knife from the kitchen was already there. All the pieces were in place. All I had to do was read it.
I grabbed the knife, cut the twine, and watched the paper unfurl itself like a strange flower.
Immediately, the white words jumped out at me, and I started reading. There were a few pages this time, including the front cover, but still only one story.
This is what was printed on those black pages:
——————————————————————————————————————————
THE REMOVAL DOCTOR: POLICE WARN OF DANGEROUS INDIVIDUAL
After a spate of reports of a so-called “Removal Doctor,” local police urge residents to stay away from strangers who approach them in public places and to avoid abandoned buildings of any kind.
It started a few months ago. The first report appeared on an online forum for reporting interactions with strange individuals. And this one certainly fit the bill.
The anonymous user stated that she was walking across a public park just before closing time when a man approached her and introduced himself as “the Removal Doctor.” The woman wrote that, at the time, the man seemed “professional,” “reliable,” and had a “strange persuasiveness” about him.
The man gave the woman a card and walked off. She has since lost it, but according to her, the card simply had an address printed on either side.
The next day, the woman decided to check the address out. She inputted it into a map application and arrived…only to discover that the building had long since been abandoned.
Undeterred, she found an open door and walked in. The rest is internet history.
Inside the building, the woman was greeted by what looked like a state-of-the-art clinic. The floors were epoxy and spotless. The walls were painted white, and there were tarps set up to cover any broken windows. There were even fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling.
This was a far cry from the “kill room” the woman had imagined upon finding the abandoned location…but now her mind was wandering more toward an underground organ trafficking ring. She was half right.
The woman reports that she found the door to a clinic in the back of the building. She knocked and was welcomed inside.
What was awaiting her was a consultation office straight out of a high-end hospital. There were doors to several rooms, one she could see was labeled as containing a CAT scan machine, another was labeled as a dental office.
In the center of the room was a desk, and behind that desk was the same man she had met in the public park. The woman was unable to describe him clearly in her post, only stating that the man was wearing a lab coat and that his face was hidden behind a surgical mask.
The man wasted no time getting down to business. He introduced himself again as “the Removal Doctor,” and explained to her that he was in the business of “removing things” from the human body. “Anything you can think of,” he said.
The woman was clearly unconvinced (and somewhat alarmed), but the man assured her that it was a voluntary procedure and one that had the potential to be life-saving.
The “doctor” proceeded to ask the woman to “name one thing about herself” that she was unhappy with. “A memory, a body part, an inconvenient habit.” Anything. “Even a tumor or a fatal condition such as cancer or a clogged artery.”
Online, the woman admits that she wasn’t “in her right mind.” She was, after all, ignoring a million red flags that are staples of a dozen alleged accounts. Accounts that have transcended culture, time, and location, to become old-wives tales everyone has grown up with. Like waking up in a bathtub filled with ice only to discover that your kidneys have been stolen, for example.
Luckily, this wouldn’t be the case for this woman. Nor has it been the case for anyone who has encountered this strange man. There was no bathtub filled with ice, at least.
The woman decided against asking to have anything physical removed, perhaps fearing that there were other parties listening in who were ready to act on her words right away. She did, however, state that she wouldn’t mind parting with her “crippling procrastination.’
The “doctor” nodded, as if he were expecting this answer, then explained to her that this was “an exchange.” He would take something she didn’t want about herself, but he could pick anything of her’s that he wanted in return. The woman was hesitant but ultimately agreed, allowing the man to lead her to a private examination room.
The woman claims that, a few hours later, she woke up in the same building…but everything around her was different. The floor was filthy concrete, the walls were covered in chipped paint, and there were no examination rooms or medical equipment of any kind.
She stated that she immediately chastised herself mentally, for falling for a trick a child could see through. After quickly checking herself for stitches or wounds, she was unable to find any mark on her skin. “Not even a bruise,” she wrote.
It was only a few days later that she realized that something actually had happened in that building. She’s a writer, and she was unable to start working before hours upon hours of watching YouTube videos and playing mobile games. But now, she could sit and get to work immediately. It really did seem like the Removal Doctor had “surgically removed” her procrastination. She was elated…but only at first.
Soon, she realized that something was wrong. First, it happened when she was in a video chat with her sister and her newborn. Then, it happened when her girlfriend arrived at their apartment. Finally, she confirmed her fears in front of their bathroom mirror…no matter how hard she tried, or for how long, she was unable to smile.
Dozens of doctor’s appointments later, the cause is still unknown. “Some of them have said that it may be a mild facial paralysis caused by stress. But I know better,” the woman wrote.
She’s convinced it was the Removal Doctor. “I hate him,” she wrote in her post, “everyone used to say I had the nicest smile. Now it’s gone.”
But, why take her smile? The woman described her last moments of consciousness. Just as the Removal Doctor administered an IV filled with anesthetic, she spotted a room off to one side. The door was half-open, and she could see a gurney with a blanket over it. It was obvious that, given the size and the shape of what was underneath it, that it was a person. But the shape was wrong.
“Parts were missing,” she wrote, “the shape was off. But it had a head and two legs.” There were jars along the far wall…jars with all manner of body parts.
There are nights, the woman wrote, where she dreams she’s back in that strange clinic. Nights where she’s convinced she remembers part of what happened when she was under. She spots grotesque and bizarre surgical tools through blurry eyes, hears the doctor muttering to himself. Hears him say that something, or someone, is “almost complete.”
Other stories about the Removal Doctor’s “patients” have surfaced. One man who claimed to have asked the Doctor to remove his addiction to cigarettes had his tongue removed as well. Another man who asked to have his fear of heights removed had his ability to drive taken. A man with a brain tumor asked for it to be removed, only to wake up without one of his legs. A woman asked for her depression to be removed, and lost one of her eyes in the process…
One of the accounts spreading the rumor even claimed that a missing person who was found without his head was one of the Doctor’s victims. Still, when asked what, if anything, this person may have asked to have removed, this anonymous poster couldn’t say. “Whatever it was, it had to be huge. Maybe something that he and a large group of people shared, like a fear or a financial condition.” Speculation abounds in most of these reports, but this headless corpse shares something in common with all other alleged reports.
In all cases, there were no stitches, no wounds, no scars of any kind. Whatever the Doctor took, it was as if it had never existed. This fact has baffled both law enforcement and medical professionals looking into these reports.
This publication would like to remind you of the police department’s request. If a man approaches you with a business card and introduces himself as “the Removal Doctor,” remove yourself from the situation immediately and call 911 when at a safe distance to report your sighting. Do not, under any circumstances, go to the address on the card. Do not, under any circumstances, ask for something to be removed from your body or your personality…you will lose something in return.
——————————————————————————————————————————
I put the paper down, confusion growing through my brain like a strange kind of infection. I could feel my heart beating faster again. I knew something was wrong, not just because of what was written on the pages or how the paper was delivered.
A few internet searches later and I found out I was right. There were no reports online of a “Removal Doctor,” or a “Ledge Game” either. So why were the articles mentioning their presence on the internet and the media? Was the writer of these articles just making these reports up? I still down know, but doesn’t feel like it. The stories don’t “feel” fake. They feel real. Like they’re happening close by.
I decided to take a few photos of the paper with my phone and soon realized that this wasn’t an easy process. It was like there was something on the page that reacted badly with the camera lens. I tried taking a photo with the flash on and off, but it made no difference. The picture was ruined either way.
I’ve linked the photo along with this new article. I hope it serves as a way to both prove my story and also to document each paper if they also go missing. You can find it here if you’d like to see it: https://imgur.com/a/v0XSDTt
If what my dad said was true, I’ve made a grave mistake. “Never read one,” he told me once. I asked him why, but he wouldn’t say. He just changed the subject or blurted out “just don’t” or “because.” Eventually, I thought he was just trying to scare me, and forgot all about it. Now I wish I had asked him more about the Midnight Paper. About why I should never read it, about whether or not I should even touch it or bring it inside.
All I know is that my dad said the paper arrived on Wednesdays and Fridays at our home. So there’ll be another one coming Friday night. It seems like it’s too soon. Too overwhelming. But I’m going to keep going, to keep documenting it. And next time, I want to try to have the door open when the shadow shows up once again.

I am an alcoholic. It’s not with pride that I admit this, and I have no intention of trying to show off with telling everyone how much I can drink, what I can drink, how hard I party, anything like that. Maybe when I was younger it would be something to boast about, but nowadays it is the anchor that drags me down more than anything in life. Being in quarantine hasn’t helped at all either, because instead of going out and doing things while drinking, my life had become watching movies, watching online videos, and drinking.
But I think that’s all going to end very soon. I’ve tried all the usual things people tell you to do for drinking problems: Tried going to AA, but the religious aspect sort of turned me off. If it isn’t an issue for you, more power to you, but it just didn’t work for me. I went and saw a therapist for a little while, before it got too expensive to see one. I’ll admit, for a little while I felt better about myself, and thought I might be able to give up drinking. Wasn’t in the cards though. For a time, I thought that there was nothing powerful enough to get me to stop drinking. I never counted on fear.
About a month ago was when it started visiting me. Sometimes it shows up when I’m so drunk, I can barely keep my eyes open, and I pass out before my mind can fully comprehend that its there. Sometimes I’ll take the first sip from a can of beer, or the first shot of the night, and I’ll notice it right away. Its never been in the same place twice, sometimes outside my house, sometimes inside. I don’t know how it gets in; I’ve spent a pretty penny on sealing up every crack, nailing down every loose floorboard, locking every door and window, and that doesn’t seem to stop it. The worst thing is that I’m pretty sure what it wants, and it isn’t good.
Like I said, the first time this thing came to me was around a month ago. You’ll have to forgive me with some of these events, because there were times I was really drunk, like close to alcohol poisoning drunk, so details are a like hazy for me during those nights. But I do remember the first visit clearly, even with the drinking I’d been doing. Its very hard for me to black out from drinking.
Anyway, I was sitting on my futon in the living room, a bottle of tequila already gone and I was halfway done with a bottle of rum. I was busy watching the second Lord of the Rings movie, a childhood favorite, and was playing a drinking game alongside watching it. For the record, I don’t remember the exact name of the drinking game, but I wouldn’t recommend it. A drinking game for a movie that’s over 3 hours long is dangerous in the least, fatal in the worst.
So, there I was, a shot in my hands, ready to take down it in a few seconds for a scene I’d seen over 1,000 times, when suddenly there’s a large smacking sound at my front window, like something really hard hit it. This surprised me so much that I spilled my shot all over when I jumped in fright. Because of that, it was in anger that I turned from my futon to look at the window and see what the hell had made the noise. That anger quickly turned to confusion as there was something pressed against my window, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what it was. All the lights were out, including my outdoor light, so the only light my eyes could use to see anything was coming from the TV. Also, the fact that I was drunk as a skunk didn’t help.
There was this…rope, thing, hanging across my window. Again, I could only see the outline of it with the dim light of the TV, so I couldn’t see color or texture. But this thing wasn’t a rope at all. It was pulsing, and shifting slightly even though there was no wind from outside. Annoyed that something had interrupted my nightly drinking ritual, and I stumbled up from my futon and shuffled my way to the door. I briefly stopped looking at the thing so that I flip on my outdoor light from the switch panel next to the door.
As soon as the light came on, there was a suddenly rush of movement, with a squelching, slimy sound accompanying it. With surprise, I quickly turned my head back to the window, and there was nothing there that I could see. I blinked a few times in confusion, trying to clear the fog in my head so that I could accurately assess what had just happened. The grip of alcohol was too strong for me though, and I ended up just making some excuse of a branch or something, stumbled back to my couch, and continued drinking.
Events like this happened for the first week. I would be deep into drinking, and some noise from outside my house would grab my attention. Something would slam against a wall, or there would be violent shaking of my front or back door. Once, I heard something shattering, and in the morning found that the outside light next to my back door had been broken. Yet, with all that happening, I never saw anything. At least, I don’t remember seeing anything.
Things suddenly went up a notch. I think 8 or 9 days after it first made itself known, I was in my kitchen, getting my nighttime lineup of booze ready. It was somewhere around 7:30 at night, and the sun was just about set, so I had my kitchen light on. I cracked open my first beer and started chugging it. I had my head tilted back all the way as I chugged, but my eyes were wandering around the kitchen aimlessly, trying to find something interesting to look at. When they scanned across my kitchen window, I ended up coughing at sputtering from the thing I saw there.
It was the same rope thing I had a distant memory of seeing on my front window. Now in light of both sobriety and my kitchen overhead, I could clearly see this thing was not a rope. It was a dark purple, dark enough that it could blend into the night effortlessly. Suction cups were along the entire length of it, with each little cup armed with needle like teeth. I had a god-damn tentacle hanging across the outside of my kitchen window.
My eyes weren’t on it for long though, as the shock of seeing this thing was the cause of the stopping my chugging and my coughing fit afterwards. When I finally calmed down enough to get my wits again, I looked back to the window and there was nothing there. That didn’t satisfy me though, and grabbing a flashlight and turning on all my outside lights, I exited the front door and made my way to the side of the house where my kitchen window was, determined to find some evidence of…whatever that thing was presence.
Nothing. Not a blade of grass out of place, no slime or fingerprints on the wall or window itself, there was nothing to prove this thing had been there. I continued to look around in vain, trying to convince myself that there had been something there. No matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t find a single thing out of order. With resignation, I went back inside and started drinking. I was a little depressed because I was sure that there had been something, and even though I would randomly get up from my drinking spot and try as stealthily as I could to check all the windows. Nothing was ever there.
The tentacle sightings went on for a couple of days. It actually got me to reduce my drinking somewhat, as I wanted my wits about me to see if I could more easily catch sight of the tentacle. Twice, I swear I almost made it outside quick enough to catch the thing, but it would always be gone before I could get out to the spot I saw it in. It was almost fun, like a game I was playing with something. It would tease me with its presence, challenging me to react fast enough to catch it in the act. All fun and games went out the window though when it decided to show its face.
Dipping into my ever-decreasing savings, I’d bought a couple of hidden cameras and put them all outside, all pointing to places like the windows and the two doors. I had an app on my phone that allowed me to access them at any time and watch them live, so I did just that. All throughout my drinking, I kept my eyes on my phone, watching the five little screens, intent on capturing this thing on footage, and maybe faking it out so that I could see it with my own eyes. Things didn’t go exactly as planned.
I’d been watching for hours, and nothing came into any of the frames. Frustrated, annoyed, and blasted by this point, I got up from my futon, where I do all my drinking, and started making my way to the bathroom. I still had my phone in my hand, and my sloppy movement accidentally turned on the flashlight function, suddenly sending a beam of light towards the hallway entrance that would lead me to the bathroom. What I saw there, illuminated in the beam, made my blood freeze, and the adrenaline that suddenly pumped into my system cleared my head instantly.
Imagine if one of those messed up faces that Pablo Picasso drew met an H.R Giger picture, they had a one-night stand, and this thing was the result of it. It was a huge head peaking around the corner, staring at me. The head that housed the face was long and oval, kinda like a squash the size of a man’s torso. Disturbing purple skin covered it, at least I think it was skin, because I could clearly see many veins and arteries pumping some grey and black good through them. But its face, dear god its face. One huge eye was situated in the middle of it all with vertical eyelids. Where human eyes are white, there was red, and there was no iris, just a triangular pupil. Slits covered the entire thing, and I’m guessing that those slits are where it smells from. Or maybe it uses the pits to sense heat, like a snake, I don’t know. There was no hair at all, and seemingly no mouth. But then, when the light from my phone hit that enormous pupil that had been staring right at me for god knows how long, it closed its eye, and a mouth located where a person usually has their ears, opened up and hissed in pain.
Faster that something that size has any right to move, it disappeared into the darkness of my hallway, leaving me slack-jawed and shaking in absolute horror at what I’d just seen. If it had attacked me then, I would have just stood there in disbelief and been dead in seconds. However, the thought of this thing attacked me sprung me into action, and with fight or flight fully activated, I dove back to my futon and reached underneath it for my home protective item.
I would have liked to have a gun. I still would like to have one, but firearms in the hands of really drunk people is a bad idea. Besides, there was no telling if one night, in a miserable state, I would end up doing something with that gun I had no plans to do when I was sober. I’m kinda miserable, but I’m not THAT miserable, at least not yet. But that didn’t mean I had nothing to defend myself with in case someone broke in and tried to harm me. I have a Bowie-knife for that.
Large blade in hand, I dashed back to the hallway entrance and shined my light down it. There was nothing. Carefully, going to each of the three rooms in the hallway, plus the closet, I peeked in to see if some monstrosity was waiting to grab me and do who knows what to me. Each spot I looked was empty, and as the adrenaline began to leave my system and the booze return, I became braver and checked places like under my bed and in my closet, places that would be far too small for this thing to hide in, looking back on it. Convinced that whatever that thing was wasn’t in my house anymore, I still decided against drinking anymore, and ended up passing out on my couch.
That next night, I was planning on confronting this thing. Armed with my knife, I walked around my house from dusk till dawn, not a drop of alcohol crossing my lips. Nothing happened. The night afterwards, I did the same thing. Another peaceful night. The third night, I didn’t patrol or anything, but still slept with my Bowie-knife at arm’s length, and didn’t have any alcohol. Not a single disturbance throughout the night, as I spent most of it awake, listening intently for the slightest creak or shuffle.
Finally, four nights after seeing the face, I allowed myself to drink again, naively thinking that maybe I’d scared this thing off and it wasn’t going to bother me anymore. Right before I drifted off in a drunken haze, I saw the damn face, staring at me from kitchen. I wanted to react, but I was too drunk. I could barely keep my eyes open, and what I had thought was an extended blink turned into sunlight coming through my front window.
So, I’ve tried to experiment with this thing. I’ve pretended to drink, without actually drinking, and it doesn’t come by. I once pretended to be passed out drunk and was just waiting to see what it would do. It…probed me. Not in anyway sexual or anything, but I felt this thing’s tentacles poke and prod me all over. So, now I know that this thing has more than one tentacle, the tentacles are probably its limbs, and its interested in my body.
So, since that night, I haven’t been drinking, and its been hell. Whatever you hear about the withdrawal symptoms of alcohol, I can guarantee you that experiencing them is worse. Its been so bad that yesterday, I almost decided to start drinking again. I had a can of beer in my hand, the shakes making it hard to open, when I noticed on my TV, which I always keep on for background noise, was playing my favorite episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It was the rum ham episode, and I was distracted from my want to drink for half and hour, laughing and enjoying myself for the first time in a while.
After the episode finished, my craving for the beer came back, but I wanted to enjoy the drink, so I looked for something more to watch. I came across the old Twilight Zone show, the black and white one, which I used to binge heavily. I decided to load it up, opened my beer, and was just about to take a sip when I noticed the episode being played: To Serve Man. For those of you who don’t know the episode, Aliens land on earth, with a book called “To Serve Man” which they market as a book that will bring peace to all mankind. At the end, it’s found out that serve doesn’t mean serve like a servant, but serve like on a plate.
The gears started spinning in my head as two separate TV shows, decades apart in creation, combined to form a horrible thought that made my drop my beer to the floor. A rum ham…to serve man…a rum ham…to serve man…to serve a rum man. That’s why it comes when I’m drinking, or in its eye, “marinating”. I just hope I can clear any last remaining alcohol stored in my body before it gets impatient, and decides I’d be tasty just on my own.

I blacklisted them, reported them lost/stolen to police, put a $100 reward ad on Kijiji, and started trying to track them using Google Find My Device app & Samsung Find My Mobile website. Both do the same thing, so use both. All tracking maps of the pawn shop list Shaw Passpoint SIM wifi as the internet connection, so my Freedom service and SIM card were not entirely canceled although cell tower calling/texting did not work due to blacklisting.
Using Google Maps > Timelines > July 16, I tracked the thief traveling on transit and to U-Store It storage lockers for 27 minutes until he soon turned off my A5 at Coliseum LRT station 2 hours after stealing it. I tracked my A5 July 23 (battery 57%), July 24 (battery 2%), August 12 (battery 100%) to a pawn shop, and Google and Samsung both said I successfully remotely locked the A5 up. I never could track my Samsung J3 Luna Pro, which had no phone service when stolen.
The police did nothing. Patrol didn't show up for 3 days. Dispatch said if pawn shop denys having phone, they won't look, and after a month, police never contacted storage locker. They never even looked at my Google tracking; I taught myself how to do that. Dispatch told me not to go to pawn shop, but EPS Pond Detail never contacted me after 1 1/2 months.
I therefore 1st browsed the pawn shop, not recognizing my phone. The shop was surprisingly 80% storage, so even if you remotely made your phone ring, you might not hear it. Then I contacted all media; they didn't care. Then I typed a letter, printed off my tracking maps, made a protest sign and walked into the pond shop. Here's what happened:
"I walked in the pawn shop today with a sign that says "My stolen Samsung tracked to Stan's Exchange!!!???". The young Lebanese looking guy who called himself Stan? coughed up the tracked Samsung A5. He wanted "$60 finders fee", no receipt. When I mentioned police, he said just take the phone and go. He said the phone was found in the garbage (miraculously, the phone charged itself in the garbage can) in front of his store a day ago, that he paid a guy $70 for it, but doesn't know who he is. He closed up 45 minutes early at 5:45 PM after accusing me of harassment. I am articulate and kept my cool. All that was missing was a hidden camera. I recorded some audio, but I had to use my crappy RCA tablet to look up the IMEI #, and that turned off the recording. I was even told recording him was illegal and I could be charged.
I didn't get back my case nor my MicroSD card, nor my Samsung J3 Luna Pro, which also has a case & MicroSD card. He claimed he doesn't know what happened to my other stuff. I don't believe him. He's operating a fence." My internal memory was wiped clean, so data theft too. Only my wallpaper remained. Manager got me to enter my phone number, gmail, and Samsung password. Then he asked me the IMEI# using the sticker on the back. I had screenshots of my IMEI# to show him.
I should have had someone with me to record everything, phone police, but nobody reached out to help me, and I didn't expect what happened.
I recommend looking behind you whenever you get up and leave somewhere. I recommend locking your phone up with PIN & fingerprint. Google Dashboard stopped saving IMEI#s. Google Find My Device lists IMEI, and Samsung Find My Mobile has it locked up. You'd need a working phone to use their 2 step verification, but even after I did that, there was nothing there. To be sure, email screenshots of your IMEI# ahead of time. After you lock up your phone, I don't know how even the police can look up the IMEI# on a A5 because, it's not on the trays like some iPhones. It's not behind a removable battery like some Samsungs. If it is inside the A5, the phone is glued together, no removable battery.
Also, go to Google Play and download Find My Device app. That way you'll quickly be able to log on a stranger who dropped their android phone, track it, lock it up or make it ring before it is stolen, damaged, or the battery runs out.
To not defeat a good samaritan, use the always on feature available for Samsung A5 to display a reward and a contact. Pawn shops pay out 30% what they can sell for. So, with mint used Samsung A5 (2017) phones selling for $200 on ebay 30% = $60, so offer a $60 reward. Most of you don't pay rewards because you are cheapskates driving up the crime. You should offer a reward up front, so finder can legally count on getting it, because lots of people lie about offering a reward when the finder suggests it. They show up with police and friends, make threats, and recover the phone without paying any reward. Considering how much time has been wasted, the loss of all my data, the loss of my SD cards, cases, and my 2nd phone, me paying Freedom 1 1/2 months while having no phone, the fact that police don't care, and the idea that the finder has justly earned a reward, it is clearly worth paying a reward.
I 1st didn't want to pay my Freedom bill when I had no phone, but their free Shaw Passpoint SIM wifi is what tracked my phone to the pawn shop. It logs on automatically, no agreeing to conditions.

Things weren’t always the hell they are now. As recent as 2018, my life was going great. I’d been saving nearly ten years to get some land of my own. That fall, a guy from work mentioned some land near to him was up for sale. He drove me out there to look around. It was beautiful. Everything I’d been dreaming of. Not to mention, a steal. So cheap, I smelled a rat. I asked the guy the reason. He claimed he wasn’t sure. However, the story he’d heard, was that that the previous owners had a family emergency and moved east. I was still concerned I wasn’t getting the full story. So, I met up with the agent selling it. He told me all the stories going ‘round were bs. The fact was, they couldn’t make the payments. Plain and simple. The bank foreclosed and sold it at auction. That’s how he got involved. He’d got it for a good price and just wanted to get back his investment. It sounded fair to me. We agreed on the price and got the wheels in motion. By the end of that month, I was pulling my trailer into my new home. It would add a little time to my commute, but I wasn’t planning on keeping that job once spring came around anyhow. The spread topped out at 80 acres. A quarter of which had been developed. A few acres of beautiful forest faced the road. Not until you turned onto the drive and followed it 100 or so yards, did it open up. At least a mile in every direction. If you continued down the hill, a massive pond came into view. Lucky for me, it had been stocked just 5 years before. This was where I parked the camper. It would be home for the next few years. In between work and the weather, I began building a pole barn to the west of the pond. When he felt like it, the guy from work would help me out. Most of the heavy equipment we used belonged to him.
That first winter was peaceful. It also went by way too fast. By my birthday, that March, we were wrapping up the barn. Just in time for me to start the garden. I’d grown up in the suburbs, but one thing I knew was gardens. Our house had been on a corner lot, so was larger than the others on that street. Every spring, my dad would till up a quarter of the backyard and plant a wide assortment of veggies. He’d grown up in the country. Not to mention, been poor as hell. A lot of times their garden was the only thing that kept them alive. His dad had taught him and in turn, he’d taught me. We didn’t get along much of the time, but we shared a love for guns and growing food. As soon as it was dry, I borrowed the neighbors old Ford tractor and got to work. At the top of the hill, I’d marked out an area around 75’x75’. I spent the next four days turning over the earth and adding loads of organic supplements and fertilizer. I managed to get down my seed potatoes before another storm came along. For the next week, it rained like Noah’s Flood. I was blocked from planting for at least another week. So, I took the time to check out the far NW corner of the property. I’d only seen it briefly that fall. It was kind of hard to get to and in less than ideal condition. The road back there was primitive. Very little maintenance had been done. Any gravel there once was, had washed away long ago. The property off to the north was swampy and no one had lived on it for ten or more years. My side of the fence, there was a wooded area, around six or seven acres. I think it had been clear cut at one time. The majority of trees didn’t appear to be more than twenty years old. The result was a dense thicket of every crappy tree available in that part of Texas. This was why all the ATV tracks on the ground mystified me. My gate was little more than four lengths of barb wire wrapped around a fence post. There wasn’t really any excuse for anything better. From what I
could see, someone had been going in and out of this gate with four-wheelers and on foot. And it was recently. I figured it was poachers. I followed the tracks into the trees and expected to find a gut pile. Instead, they ended at a wall of giant cedars. I stopped and scratched my head for a second. “This doesn’t seem right”, I thought. With no better idea, I pushed my way through and came out into a massive clearing. A good 100 or more yards around. It had clearly been done by people. That explained the tracks. It had to be maintained. But why? I had a few ideas but no clues pointing in any specific direction. One visit to Amazon and two days later, I had four game cameras on my doorstep. I discreetly posted them around the area and went about my regular work. The garden was now dry enough to plant. My week became so consumed by planting all my favorite veggies, I almost forgot the cameras. I took a quick drive down and swapped out the memory cards. There were fresh tracks everywhere. I downloaded the photos. There were a few of men cleaning the area, trimming trees and like, but no clear indication of what they had planned. On the upside, there was also a shot of a beautiful 10-point buck. Now I knew how I’d spend my November. I’d just have to wait and see what my visitors had planned. Another week would pass. I wasn’t able to wait any longer. Just those five days, things had changed a lot, however. It looked like an army had been through there. When I broke through the cedars, my jaw hit the ground. They had brought in buttloads of irrigation equipment and chemical fertilizer. So much fertilizer had been spread, the forest stunk to high heaven. I followed the irrigation lines through a hole in the fence. About 50 yards ahead, they lead to a spring fed pool. I’d read about stuff like this before.
It appeared my friends were getting ready to plant pot on my land. A lot of it! The pictures all but confirmed this. I considered going to the sheriff right then but thought twice. I figured they couldn’t get them for anything other than trespassing as it was. I’d have to wait until I had pictures of them planting before I’d be taken seriously. A watched pot never boils as they say, so I tried to focus on more pressing matters until then. Between seeding the pasture, maintenance on the garden and other stuff, I stayed busy. That Friday evening, I headed out to check the cameras and almost blundered right into the growers. Instead of being careful, I was trying to beat sundown. I was around a quarter of a mile from the gate and saw a truck pulling out. I slammed on my brakes and backed up as quickly as possible. I wasn’t sure if they saw me, so I pulled off into the trees and got out. Watching through my binoculars, I waited to see what they’d do. They must not have seen me. A guy closed the gate and hopped into the truck. They drove the opposite way and out of sight. It had gotten too dark, so I turned back for the camper. Since I was almost certain they didn’t come around on the weekend, I returned the next morning. I brought along another couple of cameras to place inside the grow area. Over the week, a lot had been done. Hundreds of seedlings had been planted and the irrigation system set up. I couldn’t help but admire the orderly way they’d done their job. Although, their use of chemical fertilizers was an unforgivable sin in my book. I hid the cameras as well as I could and swapped out the others’ cards. Now I had all the proof I’d need to go to the sheriff. Monday morning, I headed into town. After asking to see him on an important matter, the sheriff invited me into his office. I tried to
explain my situation as clearly as possible. His smile confused me. “I have proof. Loads of pictures of them preparing the soil and planting the crop. They’re all on these thumb drives.” I wasn’t expecting his answer. Not in a million years. “Son, we already know all about that operation. It’s been going on almost five years” This was the first time anyone had indicated they new anything about what was going on. Hearing him say this, and in such a nonchalant manner, knocked me for a loop. At first, I thought maybe he’d confused me with another person. “Oh-h, I think you may have your properties mixed up. This place is completely hidden in in the woods, off where no one has gone in a long time. It’s probably no more than two years old. I doubt the previous owners even knew it was going on. I know they didn’t make it a year.” His grin grew just a bit. I was beginning to see the glint of his teeth. “Why do you think they moved so quick, young man? They were fully aware of it. Fact is, they’re the reason we found out. They’d stumbled into it and ran to us for help. We were ready to go in there and shut it down. Before we could, the stupid landowners get caught spying on them and were told to keep their mouths shut or else. The raid was two days from going down and I get a call from them saying they weren’t going to testify. Not long after that, they head for the hills leaving the place to the growers. By the time I got a warrant to go in on my own, they’d harvested the
crop and moved on. I’d hoped they’d left the area, but it appears they’re her to stay.” What could I say to that? I’d heard so much in the last few minutes, I thought my head was going to blow up. A queasy feeling began welling up in my gut. It looked like I’d gotten myself in over my head and the idea that everyone had lied to me about this place. It ticked me off. Fear, however, was a much stronger feeling, right then. I told him I was going to need some time to think about it. I went ahead and gave him the drives. As I left, he thanked me and gave me one last piece of advice. “Young man, these folks got a lot of mean mothers on their payroll. Ain’t nobody going to think less of you for tucking tail and running.” I wasn’t sure what he hoped to achieve by telling me that. At first, I thought that if someone like a sheriff is scared of these people, I had no reason not to be. It wouldn’t be until that Friday, that I’d understand his goal. I was pulled off the road at the same place I had before. I watched as those a- holes, as they went in and out of my gate. Talking and joking like it was their property. Like they had a RIGHT to be there. Then one of the men, took a drag from his cigarette and flicked it onto the ground. That was the last straw. Anyone in Texas knows rain can be a scarce resource in the warmer times of year. So scarce, we often have wildfires burning out of control on a regular basis. Seeing this scum mindlessly chucking burning cigarettes down, made my blood boil. By God, this was my land damnit! I was going do anything I could to get these trespassers off of it. Even if it cost me my life! That was the moment his words clicked in my brain. “Reverse psychology, huh?” Well, whatever it takes.
That evening, I let the sheriff know I was on board. He congratulated me and told me to stay near the phone. Saturday morning, I returned to remove the cameras. The sheriff had said we had enough evidence to move forward. The crop was growing fast. I walked through it. Stopping on occasion to admire the healthy plants. It was a damn shame, really. In another world, I may have been growing hemp like my ancestors did back in Virginia. This wasn’t quite the same stuff, but you get my drift. However, because of our drug laws, that’s almost impossible now. It’s funny how life works out sometimes. Please pardon my little political diatribe. Back to the subject at hand. I got a phone call from the sheriff a couple of weeks later. It was a Tuesday evening and he wanted to prepare me. Their surveillance was done, and the warrants were in order. That next morning, just after 9, his deputies and a team from the DEA, raided the operation. They took about 10 people into custody. I was fiddling with the fence when I got the call. I’m not sure why I thought it was all over. I’d soon realize that was the easy part. The hard part would be surviving until the trial. That morning, the sheriff told me I may be safer moving somewhere else. At least until the trial came around. He didn’t have the manpower to protect me. I thanked him for the consideration, but this was my home and I planned on dying here. I regret my choice of words now. I almost ended up dying there far sooner than I’d hoped. I hadn’t been completely negligent when it came to my protection. I kept my AR ready to go next to my bed and my .40 cal. M&P on my hip anytime I was outside. It had been a few weeks since the raid and all was quiet around the farm. One hot evening, I was in the pole barn building a work bench. I was listening to an audiobook at the time. Other than the cicadas pulsing screech, I heard nothing. Out of nowhere, all hell
let loose. It sounded like one of those machine gun shoots they have in Kentucky. Against my instincts, I ran out the door and peeked around the corner. The dusk was lit up by five or more rifles dumping round after round into my camper. I wanted to scream curses at them. My home was being blown to shreds and I couldn’t do a thing. The mag dump continued for another minute until all went quiet and the shooters disappeared back into the woods. I didn’t dare walk out into the glow of the burning rubble. My propane tanks exploded at some point rendering the camper to a bonfire. By the time, the firetrucks and sheriff arrived, it had almost burned out. Fortunately, my truck had been parked in the barn. It may have ended up like the camper. While I’m not sure whether they were trying to kill me or just send a message, I knew my life was forfeit while I stayed in the area. As the sun rose that morning, I grabbed a few baskets and filled them with all the ripe produce I could. I loaded these, along with two five-gallon buckets of potatoes, into the bed of my truck and drove away. I followed the highway north and drove until sundown. A cheap motel had some vacancies. I checked in and made one my home. I stayed a week or two and then moved on. That’s been my life since August of 2019. Once or twice a month, I’ll check in with the sheriff. He gives me updates on the case and let him know I’m still alive. The wheels of justice move slowly these days. It was months before we even had a trial date. When it was finally announced I had some hope, some goal to strive for. We were three months out when all this flu mess started. I hoped it would blow over quickly, but it looks like it’s going to last forever, at this point. I imagine everyone reading this is aware that the courts are shut down across the country. As things stand now, only God knows when they’ll restart. Every day this continues, my “detractors” get a little closer to finding me. I
have no guarantee I’m actually being hunted. Regardless, I thinks it’s wise to live as if I am. I know every time I see a car with Texas plates, I get a little nervous. A night doesn’t pass that I don’t think of my paradise down south. I wonder if it’s being overtaken by a herd of wild pigs or some Bubba has poached that big, wonderful buck. It’s great fantasizing, but for now, my goal is just to make it long enough to testify. Even then, there’s no guarantee I can return home. We can all have a dream, right? I only ask ya’ll one favor. If you’re a religious person, please include me in your prayers. Even if you’re not, keep me in your thoughts. Maybe together, it will be enough to help me see my home again, just maybe, some day.

People often dismiss David Blaine's ability to know what numbecard you have chosen as a lucky guess based on statistics but in actuality the chances of people choosing the same number is very low. Before you dismiss it based on the fact Margot Robbie is an actress, here he is doing a similar trick with George Bush.
But what about this?
https://youtu.be/0vzuDkjtDOY
There is no way that the explanation for this level of mind reading is, "He was lucky." There must be more to the trick than random guesses, considering how open-ended the questions David posed to Margot were. For example, there's no way that 20% of humans have a memorable story from their childhood about a "bunny". And "numerous" isn't even a common word.
I don't think the video is scripted, because that is beneath David Blaine.
I've spent a lot of time trying to demystify this trick. Here are all of the theories that I can think of:
David met with an "inside" agent in advance of the trick. Margot's partner, sister, friend, etc tipped David off about what Margot's personal story is and they orchestrated this trick without telling Margot. (The agent maybe even brought up the story while one-on-one with Margot in order to "refresh" this memory and bring it to the front of Margot's mind.) David lied when he claims at the beginning of the video that, "They didn't tell me anything". (This theory doesn't explain how he guessed right on the second question, "What random word from the article are you thinking of?".)
Margot lied. David hadn't guessed correctly, but Margot said he did anyway. Margot did not write her guesses down anywhere when she was asked to think of them. Therefore, she could have easily lied about him being correct. The viewer is never shown the screen of her smartphone. On the second question, I suppose it is possible that Margot caught a glimpse of the woman's palm before Margot revealed the second answer.
David somehow in advance installed an app on Margot's phone that tracks the phone's screen. David's assistant remotely tracks the screen in real time and feeds David the info via a hidden earpiece. The assistant knows the answer to the second question by observing the exact location of Margot's screen right after David asks the question, and then makes an educated guess on which word in frame is most likely to be chosen.
David has an assistant on the premises that is somehow tracking in real time the local internet network activity and what is being searched via wi-fi. David is fed the answer from the assistant via a hidden earpiece. (This doesn't explain how he guessed right on the second question.)
There is a hidden camera in the bookshelf behind Margot. The camera is pointed downward so that it has a bird's-eye view of her smartphone screen. David's assistant remotely monitors the camera and feeds David the info via a hidden earpiece. The assistant deduces the answer for the second question in the same manner as theory #3.
David openly suggests this, so, no way... but he watches Margot's fingers as she types to try to visualize what she typed. (Also, this doesn't explain how he guessed right on the second question.)
My theories aren't any good. Does anyone else have a better clue?
And I have ZERO theory to explain how the hell David knew, "Wait, you changed. You went from an m to an r."

2020.08.21 19:40 Demidrake Hidden camera with memory card

You are Yobgsuibdyh from the Burgage of Florida.
They say a proper wizard spends most of their time in their tower, practicing, studying, rigorously testing the boundaries of magic, they have strict discipline and safety standards. magic circles, precise incantations and a whole bunch of NERD SHIT
You know all that is unneccesary as you are FLORIDA MAGE. the world is filled with magic if you know where to look, you just kinda eyeball spell ingredients, sometimes you get acid burnt but thats the price you pay for magic.
today you are going to try to cast a spell that makes you invincible in battle but you are going to use an unconventional approach.
you go out the front gate of florida and under an old oak tree, you find some grubs. you take a few bites and feel woozy. as you lie on the ground, you notice a few tiny lizards nearby. they are timid but you think that with your new bug eyes you will be able to see in the dark like they do.
you grab a handful and put them in your mouth, you chew them up and swallow. you have now eaten 2 bugs and feel sick so you lie down to rest.
you are awakened by a loud crackling, you sit up and find that your mouth is full of static. you see the oak tree nearby is on fire. you get up and run over to the tree. as you run you shock yourself on a fence.
you touch the tree and it goes out. you stand there and focus on controlling your new powers. you see a lot of potential.
"YO BRUH, WHAT IT DO?" a voice calls out to you.
you look over and see a tall lizard man with blue scales and a spiked club.
he looks just like a human sized version of the lizards you ate earlier. you recall those were dimetrodons, primitive creatures that resembled dinosaurs and became extinct long ago.
"UMM, YO BRUH, YOU OK?"
you realize you are in the presence of a magical creature. you decide to be brave and talk to it.

You say "I am literally God incarnated as a mage. Ask me to do a trick, and I shall do it."
"UMM, OK BRUH, CAN YOU RAISE THIS DEER FROM THE DEAD?" The deer had been dead for a week, you didn't think it would be possible. but you were literally god incarnated as a mage, so you decided to give it a shot. you focused on the deer, you could see it's lifeforce. it was dim but there. you started to will it to come back but it resisted. apparently death wasn't something that responded to magic.
You yell at the deer's soul to get the FUCK back into its body or else.
The deer's soul got the message, the deer's body jumped up and started to lick itself. the deer's soul had been a lazy piece of crap, it relied on the lifeforce of the deer's body to regenerate itself.
You say "Ta-da!"
"UMM, OK, CAN YOU MAKE ME TALLER?" you looked at the lizard, its body was fine. it had long limbs which made it look tall. you didn't know how to make it shorter so you just made its head bigger and its limbs shorter.
You make its legs longer so it can be a basketball pro.
"UMM, OK, CAN YOU MAKE ME RICH?" you look at the lizard, it was in a dirty loin cloth, next to a broken sword and some coins. you could make the coins belong to it, or make more coins.
You give it a gold coin.
you give the lizard a single gold coin, it looks at it and smiles. "THIS IS GOLD, BRUH!" it says in awe. "Yeah, its a gold coin." "HOW CAN I EVER THANK YOU? I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN POVERTY MY WHOLE LIFE." "Do you have a ship?" "YES, I AM A SEA MERCHANT." "Well, mind if I borrow it?" "UMM, OK. BUT BRUH, WHY?" "I need to go to a place called the 'Silent Rock'." "OKAY, THAT SOUNDS DANGEROUS, BRUH."
You say "Don't worry, I'll get your ship back in one piece when I'm done"
"OKAY, I TRUST YOU, BRUH." you and the merchant lizard shake hands. it takes you to its ship and you set sail for the Silent Rock. you had heard of it before in passing. it was a floating island that moved around a lot. not many people were allowed there, and usually only the most powerful of wizards were allowed to visit. you didn't know why you were going, but you had a feeling it would be important. Florida Mage doesn't need a reason, you think to yourself.
The merchant ship takes you to the Silent Rock and as soon as you see it you know why it is called that. there are a few small holes near the bottom where air comes out of and prevents the island from falling through the sky, but other than that it is featureless.
You create a flying potion out of bird bones, LSD, and your own piss, then spread it across the mast of the ship.
you take the merchant ship and fly directly upwards. you need to find a powerful substance, or perhaps a creature that could help you in your quest. you fly higher and higher. you see a few airships, but they don't notice you. after an hour you reach the top of the sky and break through into the void of outer space. you see planets, stars, and a huge mass of white swirling matter suspended in nothingness. it's so beautiful.
You huff some DMT.
you huff the DMT and stare at the swirling mass. it's alive. it takes you away. you see cities in the sky and flying whales. you see your childhood home and your family. you see your future and your hopes. it's all here, hidden in the DMT stream. you tap your finger. tap tap tap you're writing a song with the sounds of the universe. the beat is flowing through you. the bass is in perfect unison with your heart beat. you close your eyes and let the sounds take you away. you open your eyes and see a new planet before you. it's green and blue and grey and you're heading straight for it. you scream.
You say "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH!!!!"
you scream as you head towards the planet. you see a few small moons orbiting it. you're going so fast that when you hit the atmosphere you burn up and your skeletal remains land on the planet's landscape. the sky is purple here.
You say "I'm a god. How can you kill a god? What a grand and intoxicating innocence! How could you be so naive?!"
you scream at the naivete of your past self. you pick up your skull and throw it at the nearest mountain. it leaves a small hole as it goes through it.
You look down at your past self’s remains, then look at your own current body, then at the hard camera.
"I'm going to be really pissed if this is a prank and I wasted all this time." you say to yourself. "How do you know it was time you wasted? Time is an illusion, Florida Mage." a voice booms. you look around to see where it came from. "Up here." you look up and see a floating...cat? no, a flying cat. it's a cat, with wings. it has a large grin on its face.
You say "Whoa! Who are you?"
“I'm Cat-at-at-at,” "That's a stupid name." "You're a stupid person. But I'm not here to yell at you, I'm here to help you achieve your goal." "What do you mean? I have already achieved godhood through the power of bullshit! I don't need help from you!" "No, you achieved godhood by huffing dmt and staring at a camera for an hour. That's not godhood, that's just insanity." "I'll have you know that I am perfectly sane! I have plans to rule the world! Just you wait!" "Yeah, sure. Look, I'm here to help you achieve your REAL goal." "And what is my REAL goal?" "To become a real god." "...” "I'm listening..." "Good. You're going to need a lot of money for this, so the first thing you need to do is go get a part-time job." "But I don't have time for a job! I have to practice magic! Be a wizard! Ya know, that kind of shit!” "If you want to be a real wizard, you're going to need a source of income. You could go work at a fast food place, but I think you're smart enough to want something better than that.
You summon a credit card.
you wave your hands in a mysterious manner and summon a credit card. "What...what is this? Some kind of black magic? Is this...credit card magic?" "Not quite. I just took an old credit card application, filled it out myself, and then summoned it." "That's insane! Nobody can do that!" "
You say "As I said, I have all the power I need. In fact, Cat-at-at-at, you work for me now!"
Cat-at-at-at looks at his paws in confusion. "I work for you? What do you mean? What kind of cruel trick is this?
You say "Oh don't worry, it won't be that bad. I really only need two things from you."
"What...what are those?" "I need you to make me some cosplays." "What?" "I need you to make me some cosplays. I'm too lazy to do it myself. Also, I need you to give me a part in an anime." "But I'm not into anime." "Well, maybe if you cosplayed as something from an anime, you could get into it." Cat-at-at-at puts his paws to his head in frustration. You're worried you might have gone too far, but he surprises you by taking his head out of his paws. "You...are a very strange person. But if this is what you want, then I'll do it. I think I can make you a few cosplays. Actually, I'm pretty sure that I have things lying around that could work. As for the anime thing, let me look around. Maybe I can find something that would be good for you.” He opens up a portal in the fabric of timespace and begins rummaging through it like a nap sack made of space. Meanwhile, you just stand around. You aren't even sure how you're going to appear in an anime. Maybe there's a form you can fill out? No, that would be too easy. Cat-at-at-at closes his portal and turns towards you. He is holding a small object, but in his cat paws you can't tell what it is. "I have some things that could work for cosplays. Also, I found something that might work for the anime thing." He reveals what he is holding. One of the objects is a small mask, the other is a pink object that looks like a mix of a gun and a sword. "What do you think? It's Lulu's Lockwarde cosplay pistol.
You say "You son of a bitch, I'm in"
Cat-at-at-at smiles at you and hands you the items. You take them and examine them. "I'll take these back when you're done with them. Now, the cosplays. I went through several different designs before I found these. I think you'll look good in them. Also, they should be easy for you to carry around. I mean, it's not like you have anyplace to keep them." "What are these exactly? " "These are for a League of Legends cosplay. You'll be playing Riven." "Who the hell is Riven?" "Are you kidding me? She's an awesome warrior! You’ve never played league? Well, I'm sure you'll like her. She's a badass. Also, I made sure to make the cosplays fit your size.
You say "Bet"
"You're on." Cat-at-at disappears and you're alone in your room. You open your backpack and shove the items inside. Then, you walk downstairs and tell your mom you're leaving. "Where are you going? " Your mom asks. "I'm going out." You reply. "Will you be back for dinner?" "Maybe, I'm meeting up with some friends to hang out." "Okay, have fun. But, remember to be home before dark!
You say "Thanks mom! Hey by the way, can you prepared those hot pocket bites for me when I get home? Thanks!"
"Oh. Sure thing, hun." You wave goodbye and leave the house. You feel like you're forgetting something, but you can't put your finger on it. Oh well, nothing important. Now to find some anime people so you can become a magical girl!
You finally come down from your DMT trip, finding yourself back in the blue lizard man's ship.
"YO BRUH, YOU’RE FINALLY BACK. WHAT’S UP WITH YOU?" "I...feel weird..." "UMM, YEAH, MOST PEOPLE DO AFTER THEIR FIRST HIT BRUH.” "First hit?" "YO THAT PERIOD OF TIME WHEN YOU WERE UP THERE WAS ONLY HALF AN HOUR IN REAL LIFE, MAN." You look at your wristwatch and see that half an hour has passed. It feels like ten times that. Suddenly, your stomach starts to grumble at you. "Hahaha, I guess that means I’m hungry! Why don't we go get something to eat?" "YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE YO, MY STOMACH'S GROWLING LIKE A FUCKING LION." You grab your stomach and laugh with John as you reach shore. "Now what?" You ask. "WELL, WE GOTTA FIND SOME CHICKS TO SEDUCE, BRO." "Oh. Well, I'm not really sure where we are. How about you?" "NAH BRUH, BUT I'M CERTAIN WE'LL FIND SOMETHING." As you and John wander the city, you come across a large building with lights. " Well, I'm not really sure where we are. How about you?" "NAH BRUH, BUT I'M CERTAIN WE'LL FIND SOMETHING." As you and John wander the city, you come across a large building with lights. "There's a restaurant there!" You say. "OKAY, WE'LL GOTO THAT ONE." You enter and sit down at a table. In the seat across from you is a girl dressed in a waitress uniform. "Hello. My name is Lucy. I'll be your server today. Can I start you off with anything to drink?" She asks in a cheery voice. "I'll have water." You say. "YO THANKS CHICKADEE, I'LL HAVE WATER." John says. "Okay! I'll be right back with your water." She says, walking away. "Man these people are so weird, talking out of the side of their faces like that..." You say. "YO BRUH I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. LIKE THAT OLD DUDE." "What old dude?" "THE ONE OVER THERE, YO. THE ONE WEARING ALL THE TIES." You look in the direction that John is pointing and you see a man wearing several different ties, all of them seem to be silk. "HE’S RICH AS FUCK, BRUH." "Should we talk to him?" You ask. "NAH. HE'D PROBABLY CALL THE COPS ON US BRUH." You shrug your shoulders and continue talking to John. A few minutes later, Lucy returns with your water. "Here you are! Now, would you two like some other drinks as well? We're having a special on Molokai's Sunrises." "What's that?" You ask. "It's a cocktail made of banana, peach schnapps, orange juice, and cranberry juice. It comes in a glass bottle with a tiny little airplane painted on it. It's pretty good." "I'LL HAVE ONE!" John says. "Me too, then." You say. "Okay! I'll be right back with your drinks and airplane bottles. Let me know if you need anything else." "We will. Thank you." You say. Lucy walks away and John stares at her butt as she walks, his eyes widening. "BRUH, I’D DO HER." He says. "Don't be vulgar. She's our waitress." John shrugs his shoulders and lifts up the bottle water that Lucy brought him. He gulps down the entire thing in a few seconds, then burps loudly. "GOT ANY MORE OF THESE? I'M REALLY THIRSTY." "Sure thing, big scaly. I'll get you another one. Or maybe two." Lucy says, walking over with two more bottles of water. "THANK YOU, LADY WITH A TIGHT GRASP ON HYDRATION.” "You're welcome, big scaly." John greedily grabs the two bottles of water from her and begins gulping them down as well. Lucy giggles as she watches him. "He's adorable." She says. "What is that, anywa--" You stop mid-sentence upon seeing a man enter the restaurant. He wears a tuxedo and several ties, and has slicked back blonde hair.
You gaze in awe at the sheer volume of ties this man is wearing.
You gaze in awe at the sheer volume of ties this man is wearing. His tuxedo is nice, but it's nothing compared to the amount of ties he has draped around his neck. It's like a peacock's tail, all shimmering blue and red and green.... "Holy shit that's a lot of ties." You say. You sit up and look at the man. He smiles and nods his head. "Indeed it is, young man. Indeed it is." He says, in a voice that sounds like pure silk. John finally finishes chugging, looking over at the strange man. "AY YO, WHO’S THIS BRUH?" "My name's Drake. I'm a friend of your father's." John's face scrunches up in suspicion. "NO YOU AIN’T. HIS FRIENDS ARE ALL OLD AND WHITE." Drake bursts into laughter, his hand clutching his stomach. "This is true! But I've known your father for quite some time. He's a great man. I'm here to watch you while he's... busy." "WE DON'T NEED WATCHING. WE'RE OK." "I know you are. I know you are. But your father loves you very much, and wants the best for you. That's why he asked me to come. Now, do you have any questions for me?" John looks at you, as if asking if it's okay to listen to Drake. You shrug your shoulders, and John turns back to Drake. "Uh... where are you from?" You ask. "I'm from all over the world, kid. I was born in Switzerland, right outside Zurich. But I've lived all over the place." "That's cool. I want to travel the world when I grow up. Have you been to Florida?" You ask. "WE’RE IN FLORIDA RIGHT NOW THO.” "I mean when you're not here." Drake laughs again. "Yes. Quite often, actually." "Have you ever been to the beach? They have really nice sand castles there." You say. "I've been to all the beaches, my friend. They're all unique in their own ways." "We should go to the beach sometime! Although the last time I went it was kind of stormy. The water was really angry that day." John crosses his arms. “IF I WAS THERE, I’D DRINK THAT SHIT UP.” "Oh? You're quite the young warrior, aren't you?" John nods. "I'M FINNA GO ASK LUCY IF I CAN GET ANOTHER KEG OF WATER..." As John walks away, Drake turns to you. "So, what's your name?" Drake asks. "I'm Yobgsuibdyh. That's my new pal John." You say. “He’s a lizard person.” "What do you like to do for fun?" You shrug your shoulders. "I dunno. I guess just hanging out with John. We're adventurers." Drake smiles and nods. "Sounds like a good time. I used to have adventures like that when I was younger." You stare at him in awe. He seems so nice and friendly. He's nothing like any adult you've met before. They're all boring, and they don't understand anything. But Drake gets you. You feel like you could talk to him for hours. "I’m a wizard." You say, pointing to John as he walks over with the water. He sits down and pours some into his cupped hands, taking a sip. "YEAH, I CAN BE A REAL PRICK SOMETIMES. IT IS WHAT IT IS, YO." "I'm a wizard. I can make you disappear with this magic wand." You say, holding up your pencil. "Don't listen to him, Drake. He's just a stupid nerd." Lucy says, popping the "p". You look up at her.
You wonder why she popped the “p”
"Why did you say that?" You ask. "It was an accident, I swear!" Lucy says. "I didn't mean to!"
You say "Time for you to pop my p if ya know what I mean.”
"What the fuck does that mean?" Lucy says. "I'll tell you if you come with me." You say. Lucy shrugs and starts following you. "YO, WHERE ARE Y’ALL GOING?" Drake says, in a "this bitch betrays me" tone.
You say "I mean, you can come along too if you want"
"I'M UP FOR ANYTHING, BRUH. LET'S GO." You lead Lucy over to the swings. "This should be far enough. So, what did you want to ask?" “I was gonna ask you if you could suck my dick.” You say. "What?!" "Just kidding. But you reacted exactly how I thought you would." "Oh you dickhead. What did you really want to ask?" You take a deep breath. "I wanted to ask if you knew how I could get more powerful." "You're a wizard. You have magic powers. Isn't that good enough?
You say "Yeah, but like, half of my powers happen when I'm on LSD or some other psychoactive hallucinogen, so it's hard to tell if what I'm doing is actually real or not. I just want to be a wizard, that's it."
"I can understand why you'd want that. I'm a witch, but my powers are fairly weak. It's awfully difficult to get any sort of real power." "So you're saying I...” "I have no idea what you are. I've never seen anything quite like you before. But I suppose that you might be a witch." "But I don't wanna be a witch, I wanna be a wizard!"
Suddenly, Hagrid falls out of the sky and impacts the ground like a meteor. After the dust and rubble clears, he approaches you, and says, "You're a wizard, Yobgsuibdyh."
"But I don't wanna be a wizard, I wanna be a witch!" "You can't be a witch, you're a wizard." "No! No! I wanna be a witch!" Suddenly, John appears in a flash of light. “ON GOD I’M ABOUT TO POP THIS CRACKER.” John screams. "Wait, wait! I can explain!" you say. John pauses. "WELL YOU BETTER FUCKIN EXPLAIN QUICK!" "You're a wizard," you say. "I'M A WIZARD." "No, you're a Wizard." "WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?" John asks.
You say "My god... you and I are the same being!"
"WHAT? WE'RE THE SAME BEING?" "Yeah, we're both John!" "OH. IT SEEMS LIKE WE’VE TRANSCENDED THE DUALITY, BRUH.” You realize everything is different now. John's mind and soul have combined with your own. You can feel his thoughts and emotions mixing into your own, as well as yours into his. "I see what you mean now," Drake says. "You are a wizard." "I'M A WIZARD." Suddenly, everything goes black. It feels like you're floating in the void of your mind for an eternity. You see fleeting images of memories go by in quick succession. It's as if your entire life is flashing before your eyes. The only thing you can make out is the laughter of John, mixed in with your own. Your mind goes completely blank.
You awaken in a small, confined room. Your arms are tied behind your back, and your legs are tied to a chair.
You look at your hands, and see the mixture of your familiar human skin and the unfamiliar blue scales that cover you.
You look around the room, taking in your surroundings. You're in a small, dirty room with peeling paint. The floor is made of concrete, and there's a small drain in the center of the room. "I see you're finally up." You turn your head to find a tall figure standing in the shadows. "Who are you?" you ask. "A fan," the man says, taking a step forward. "A big fan." "How did I get here?" "I brought you here," the man says. "I've been following your story with great interest." "What do you want?" The man steps forward, bringing a finger to his lips. "Shh. No questions." The man steps forward again, bringing a knife out of his pocket. "I just wanted you to know, it was me. I killed those girls. I committed those crimes." He steps forward again, bringing the knife up to your throat. "Because I'm a fan."
You step forward from behind him, putting a knife up to his throat. The illusion he thought was you disappears. "Au, contraire."
You step forward, putting your weight on his back, and forcing him to the ground. You quickly grab the knife from his hand with one hand, while grabbing his neck with the other. After a few seconds, he stops struggling. "You don't have to die today," you say. "But you need to understand something." You pull the man up, pressing the knife closer to his throat.
You say "I'm. A. Fucking. Wizard."
"I'm a fucking wizard," you say. "You're a fucking wizard," the man says. "I'm a fucking wizard." "You're a fucking wizard," the man says, laughing. "Ha ha ha ha!" You continue to say different variations of the phrase, until you've said them all. The man smiles at you, then you slit his throat.
You say "Jesus Christ."
You say "Jesus Christ." You say "Jesus fucking Christ." "Jesus fucking Christ," the man says, laughing. The man begins to laugh louder and louder, until he's eventually hysterical. At this point, you feel it necessary to stop him from laughing.
You leave.
You pick up his knife, then slit his throat. He falls to the ground, bleeding out. After a few minutes, you walk outside the room. You walk down the hallway, before finding a staircase. You walk down the staircase, before reaching the entrance of a large room. You enter the room, finding dozens of men watching a stage. On the stage, a young woman is stripped naked, trapped in some sort of cage that's hanging from the ceiling. "Welcome to hell," one of the men says. You walk into the room, slowly taking a seat in one of the chairs. The girl in the cage tries to cover herself, but given that she's in a cage, and tied up, she has limited mobility. You find yourself staring at her large breasts, which are covered in sweat and saliva. "Ah, a new face," one of the men says. "You want a go?" The man stares at you, offering you his hand. "I'm Oscar," he introduces himself.
You say "If I do it, will I be able to become immortal in battle?"
"If I do it, will I be able to become immortal in battle?" you ask. "Son, if you survive, you'll be able to do anything," Oscar says. Oscar stands up from the chair, before walking up to the girl. He opens the cage, grabbing her by the hair. He pulls her head down, before ramming his knee into her stomach. She lets out a shriek as he throws her to the ground. Oscar pulls a knife out of his pocket, slashing her chest open with it.
You say "Woah, stop! Why?!"
"Woah, stop! Why?!" you ask in shock. "Stop?" Oscar asks. "Why would I stop? It's not like she has much of a choice in the matter." "But..." you reply. "Are you alright, son?"
You throw him out a window with telekinesis.
You raise your hands, throwing him out the window. He lets out a yell as he falls out of the window, falling to his death. You let out a sigh of relief, before a gunshot rings out. A bullet enters your shoulder, and you shriek in pain as the other men draw their weapons and stand up.
You throw pocket sand in their eyes.
You raise your hands, throwing sand into their eyes. You take a deep breath, breathing heavily as you drag the injured girl with you out the window. You manage to pull her out of the building, before it explodes. You fall to the ground, laying on the ground as you try to recover from your wounds. After a few minutes, the girl manages to sit up, staring at you in shock. "What... what was that?" she asks.
You say "I'm Yobgsuibdyh. I'm a Wizard, and I just saved your life. I am also known as... Florida Mage."
"I'm Yobgsuibdyh. I'm a Wizard, and I just saved your life," you say with a groan. "I am also known as... Florida Mage." "You're a wizard?" she asks in surprise. "That was you? Those men were... those men were going to..." "Rape you, murder you and throw your body out with the rest of the trash," you reply. "Trust me, I've saved you from a terrible fate, bruh.” "Thanks," she says. You hear a helicopter approaching, and you find yourself staring up at a police helicopter. The side door slides open as the police officers inside point their tasers at you and the girl.
You put up your hands and peacefully let them take you in for questioning.
You raise your hands and peacefully let them take you in for questioning. The police officers slowly approach you, pushing you to the ground and handcuffing you. They grab you by the arms, dragging you along the ground as they push you into the helicopter.
You say "The girl... she needs an ambulance!"
"The girl... she needs an ambulance!" you shout. "We'll get her some medical attention," one of the officers says. "Just as soon as we've taken you in." The helicopter blades whir as they turn, before the helicopter takes off towards the city. The police officers stare at you with cold, emotionless eyes as the helicopter flies towards the city. You stare out the window at the ground below, watching as the city quickly grows closer.
You ponder how John and you have become one, and the limitless power you now wield.
You think about how John and you have become one, and the limitless power you now wield. Soon, these lowly mortal police officers won't be able to stop you. They will be unable to do anything about your new powers. You smile as you feel the helicopter descending towards the city.
Florida Mage is rising.
